The Sun, The Moon, and a Message for Israel

A guest post from a reader in Queensland:

These photographs (of the devastation in Japan) not only show the power of the tsunami but incredibly the eerie presence of fire. What I see in these photos is Heaven's signature. In Hebrew the word for Heaven is "Shamayim." Shamayim is constructed of two words, "esh- fire" and "mayim-water." Why is this so significant ?
The Perigee Moon on March 19  signals the closest point of the Moon's position to the Earth, some 356,577 kilometers to be exact. The Jewish Chag/Festival of Purim is the following day, the 20th of March. You are all acquainted with the story of Esther and Mordechai and the miraculous salvation that HaShem wrought on that day for His people.

Many scientists will totally dismiss the notion that the Moon can effect earthquake trigger mechanisms on Earth. They maintain that the moon only affects the ocean's tides. However, when one considers that the Earth's tectonic plates float on molten magma, how can one dismiss this theory outright?

Prior to the Christchurch earthquake there was a major solar storm and flare that affected telecommunications especially in southern China. Within the window of 24 hours prior to the Japanese earthquake there was a class X solar flare. Class X flares have been proven to affect the geo-magnetic field of the Earth.

So now we have both solar and lunar influences.

The Perigee Moon cycle is every 18 years. In Judaism 18 represents "chai - life." Therefore we can deduce that the travel in time and space by the moon in its orbit around the Earth is a "life" cycle.

This coming week the Perigee Moon will be a full moon and we will see it grace the night sky in all its glory. The previous Perigee Moon cycle was in 1993. What significant event happened during that year ?........ the signing of the Oslo Peace Accord on the lawn of the White House on the 13th of September. That year the Perigee Moon was a new moon.

In Judaism this is an extremely important concept. Apart from the moon having strong messianic overtures, it is symbolic of the Jewish nation. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, so too the Jewish nation. There are times when the Jewish nation is on the outer and times when it is on the upper. Just as the moon has no light but reflects the light of the sun, so too the light of Israel is a reflection of HaShem's light. The Sages also add that when Mashiach comes, His arrival will be subtle and seen by few, after which he will be concealed only to be revealed later on in full radiance.....similar to the new moon that even though it is present it cannot be seen and eventually will wax to full moon status.

In 1993 when the Oslo Accords were signed, Israel could be perceived as waning and now after the current cycle is about to end and a new cycle is about to begin with a full moon, Israel will start to wax.......woe to the nations !!!!!

Israel will once more shine the light of HaShem in all its glory.

  3. Peace, Quiet, Joy you certainly don't live up to your screenname with your doomsday prediction. Enough with the Apocolypse. There is no such thing in the Torah & no room for it on or in this Universe. What you mention is contrary to the covenant that G-d made with Noah after the Flood for all future Generations. G-d promised that there would never be a flood again to global propotions that would wipe out the face of the Earth as happened in the times of Noah & the great big flood. The Rainbow is the sign of this very covenant. That rainbow covenant symbolized a vow that G-d would never again bring a flood into the world to destroy all flesh.

  4. 10rainbow, with all due respect, not being a jew has nothing to do with whether one is evil or not. You can be a Jew and be extremely evil, and I can point to many biblical examples. And you can be a gentile and be extremely righteous. Many of the "70 nations" Have had nothing to do with antisemitism, and yet there have been some Jews throughout history that have caused tremendous harm to their own people. And yes, there can be Non-Erev Rav Jews who can be evil too. I say woe to the evildoers, gentile and Jew, and especially Amalek. This idea that one needs to be ashamed simply because of the way you were born is wrong. Woe to the evil gentiles, woe to the evil Jews, not woe to anyone who is simply not a Jew. The "nations" should mean evildoers, which of course includes anti-semites and those who want to destroy Israel.

  6. Shalom Bracha,

What about the Covenant with Avraham,Yitzchak and Yaacov ?
HaShem gave the Torah to Israel and for them to a light unto the nations.

The Name of HaShem - YKVK is His attribute of mercy, whilst Elokim is His attribute of justice.

    Esh-fire =justice and righteousness.
Mayim-water = Mercy and loving kindness.

You cannot have peace, quiet, joy without truth....and you cannot have truth without justice. Psalm 85 v 10-11 states,"Mercy and truth are met together, righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth springs out of the earth and righteousness has looked down from heaven."

The flood-water of Noach was actually an act of mercy, for HaShem delivered humanity through Noach and his family.Judaism teaches that the sign of the rainbow reminds one of teshuva for HaShem desires that the wicked repent rather than perish.

If humanity does not address the issue of justice then HaShem will.

    For Divine truth is absolute.

  7. daniel, its not for me to judge the jews. yaacov said, blessed are those who bless israel and .....
i know israel is not perfect, nor are the jews. G-d never told us He was giving us a perfect nation. for some reason HE told us, israel is a light to all nations, He Knows Best. as a gentile, though a believing one, i feel i and others of us should clean our own communities just as the jews have their rabbis and sages to correct and guide them. far be it for me to say anything negative on the jewish people. i think its high time the nations of the world left the jews alone, enough is enough. thanks for your comment. i do appreciate your view, though i do not wish to comment on the jewish people. when Hashem and the sages correct them, they have that right. i dont.
