Kuwait officials have warned the US that if Iran activates its first nuclear reactor at Bushehr in May as planned, there is a good chance it will blow up and the entire Gulf region suffer a nuclear disaster on the scale of the misfortune at Japan's Fukushima and expose millions to radiation contamination.
This issue was urgently raised in recent Saudi-US talks – first on April 4 with US Defense Secretary Robert Gates and again Monday, April 11, with the National Security Adviser to the US President Tom Donilon.
The two high-level US official visits to Riyadh in six days attest to the fierce discord between Saudi King Abdullah and the administration - not just over Iran and its nuclear activity but the entire gamut of US Middle East policy.
The king declared angrily that the lax American attitude toward Islamic Republic's nuclear aspirations places the very existence of Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf nations in peril.

ReplyDeleteIt seems that Obama is messing with so much by not doing anything- or at least anything productive. Look, I know Hashem is running the world and Obama is just one person in all of this, yet he is a key figure. He is bringing the US to hell in a hand basket......

ReplyDeleteThis Yalkut is amazing. It was quoted by the Rebbe during the Gulf war, and now the scene therein seems to be playing itself out as per the script literally. That is, Saudia has annexed Bahrain, (who willingly okayed the move, to get the added protection), thus expanding Saudia's military presence closer to Iran, and Iran (פרס), being another Moslem denomination, took severe offense of that move, so these two will soon be going at it; etc. Anyhow, the gist of it is - we will achieve the Final Redemption! So stop being concerned so much about a goy who has practically no free choice.
Leah, do you think O and his team are this stupid, or do they have a path in mind with their actions. Go read on what George Soros wants for the world - he helped O to get elected. I think they have the very same goals.
