  3. Robert Bast on the 2012 blog wrote a post entitled "Lunar Eclipses Are Dangerous Times". Bast went through the tedious task of checking every lunar and solar eclipse since 1973 against every earthquake measuring 6.5, 7.0, 7.5 and 8.0 in magnitude. His conclusion: lunar eclipses do have an effect.
