Control Shift Delete

Old fashioned search

These days, I no longer have any patience to look for anything in a real book.  I expect to find a Google search inside the front cover, and a cached page open up to the exact thing I'm looking for.   Unfortunately real life takes a lot of patience sometimes, and I often wish it was more computerized.

Like .....wouldn't it be great if you could block some of the real people in your life, just as you can block them from your email.... when you see them coming, quickly hit ''block sender'' on your invisible keyboard, and they vanish into the trash can....

Also consider the advantages of deleting anything unpleasant as soon as it happens..... one click and it no longer exists.  Hit "Restore System to a Previous Time" and transport yourself back to wherever you wish you were....

Or upload and email yourself as an attachment to your friend in Israel......  instant Aliyah!  Of course there's always the possibility that he's blocked you, and you will have to spend the next 30 days chilling in his Trash Can, until you are finally deleted and never seen again.

Seems a lot of people have trouble with real life these days -
Some video game players are so immersed in their virtual environment that when they stop playing they transfer their experiences into the real world, according to new research.

The study found evidence of Game Transfer Phenomena, which results in gamers doing things in the real world as if they were still playing.

The most extreme examples included reaching for a search button when looking for someone in a crowd and seeing energy boxes appear above people's heads.

Half of the gamers questioned said they often look to use something from a video game to resolve a real-life issue.

In some cases these thoughts were accompanied by reflexes such as reaching to click a button on the controller even when it is not in their hands.

One interviewee reported seeing a menu of topics that were available for him to think about, while another created a list of possible responses in their head after being insulted.
