  2. Todah Rabbah Devorah for your concern. The worst is yet to come.

already lost part of the exterior soffit to the patio due to the gutters not being able to cope with the deluge. The water is also lapping up in my back yard as we are on a lake.
B'ezrat HaShem all will be well.

Australia has always wanted a two state solution in the Middle East.
Middah keneged middah.....we now also have a two state solution..wet and flooding in the East...... hot and frying in the West.

Tomorrow is Australia Day....get my drift ?

  4. The ''crocodile in your swimming pool'' may have been a self-fulfilling prophecy Joe :)
If it's any consolation, it's raining here too.

  5. Todah Rabbah Leah and Devorah,

there is a temporary lull in the rain but within 24hours the monsoonal trough from the north will arrive. The active High Pressure in the Tasman Sea over New Zealand will determine how long the Low Pressure system sitting off our coast will remain. Precedence dictates that this system could be here for over a week. Reminds me of June 2005 when the Gold Coast was flooded with 525mm / 21inches of rain in just 24 hours.....as the Sharon Government was sharpening the knives for the Gerush from Gush Katif.

The frontal rains are travelling south down the coast towards Sydney. Possibly your turn next, Devorah. HaShem will determine how quickly that High moves.

Irrespective, tomorrow's Australia Day celebrations, here, have been washed out and they will fry eggs on foreheads in Perth, Western Australia.

BTW, North Queensland is on Cyclone watch.

  6. Oy! Take care Joe and you, too Devorah. I know this time of year brings much in terms of weather- and yes IMO politicians lack of morals affects this greatly.
In Fl we see hurricanes and tornadoes. No picnic. Please take care.
