The Coming Summer: Hot and Tense

A major Israel TV station on Sunday night broadcast a detailed report on how Israel will go about attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities in the event that diplomacy and sanctions fail and Israel decides to carry out a military strike.

The report, screened on the main evening news of Channel 10, was remarkable both in terms of the access granted to the reporter, who said he had spent weeks with the pilots and other personnel he interviewed, and in the fact that his assessments on a strike were cleared by the military censor.

No order to strike is likely to be given before the P5+1 talks with Iran resume in May, the reporter, Alon Ben-David, said. “But the coming summer will not only be hot but tense.”

Harav Mordechai Eliyahu zt”l, Watches Geulah התשע"ב אב/תמוז!!!!

HEre a story about Rav Eliezer Berland Shlit"a, one of the elder Breslov rabbis, told his students to travel to Uman and pray for Am Yisrael until the 22nd of Av (the night of August 1st, 2010), which is when war with Iran is supposed to break out. it did not happen then because that rav mordechai eliyahu pased on so he told rav berland that it will happen in 2 year it come out to התשע"ב 22 תמוז
because its 24 months to tammuz 5772 because 5771 was a leap year
One of his students said that the rav only meant this to be Mehazeik his students (i.e. to strengthen them in Avodat Hashem) - not that he believes it to be true.Yaak, where were you in verifying this "prediction" when it was publicized? I asked then one of the close talmidim who said that after the Rav said 22 AV, he then said the war was pushed off for 2 years.
Anyway, we should be praying that if there will be a war, it will only be between the nations,

WASHINGTON – The Russian military anticipates that an attack will occur on Iran by the summer and has developed an action plan to move Russian troops through neighboring Georgia to stage in Armenia, which borders on the Islamic republic, according to informed Russian sources.

...and where is Moshiach the Rabbis promised on Pesach ? Some of them have some major explaining to do. I suggest not posting any more predictions like that, when He is here, we will know, and when the war has started we will know that too.

the bible speaks of rumours of wars, and reports and people feeling faint. well, dont we feel so. if war has been shelved let us be happy and thank G-d for it, as human and animal lives are saved. dont lets be skeptical about it. its a miracle the latest quake in indonesia did not swallow many countries with a huge tsunammi. many remember what happened in 2004 dec. when an evil decree is passed and does not materialise, we must know its Hashem's compassion that has shelved it.

Be careful, same old same old. Check out how many earthquakes there have been in the last 30 days, over 7,000 around the world. Look what happened in the heartland of America. Their whole house destroyed. Imagine if it were you, I am certain you would not say same old. I recommend getting your "go" bag, if something happens quick, you will not have time to pick clothes, money, medicines etc. This is no joke.

For what it's worth and I know a lot of people are following the Jonathan Pollard ordeal, may Hashem PLEASE have mercy and grant him true freedom, along with all of Klal Yisrael, but has anybody else noticed that he was effectively taken out of prison Erev Pesach, transferred to the medical facility where he stayed for all of Pesach, and now the report is he was brought back to prison on Sunday Isru Chag. The facts may need verification but if it adds up Yehonatan Ben Malka was released from prison (albeit under tough and painful circumstances) for the ENTIRE Pesach of 5772.

Please pray for Yehonatan Ben Malka.

"nd reports and people feeling faint"

I've been feeling faint! Every now and then I feel like I'm losing consciousness but I thought it might have something to do with this pain I have at the back of my neck (no, really) Another woman in the community was suffering terribly from a stiff neck - she could barely turn her head. Where is the verse about fainting at?

lets just say the mosiach is among us, not all can recognise him. and he has to wait for Hashem as to when to reveal himself. these are not predictions the rabbis are giving. its from calculations according to their understanding based on the oral laws and other holy books. moses was there all the time, and until Hashem told him that he has to save the israelites. no one knew him to be the redeemer. i dont think the rabbis promised anything. they said to be ready. even if they did not say it, every moment of every day we are to wait for the mosiach. all of us are waiting for him. its heart wrenching when he does not show up at the time we hoped. but let us TRUST. that he will come. one big quake in chile just now 6.5 and the news said another big one expected within a couple of day s or so, based on murmurings.

Maybe Moshiach isn't here yet cause he is still in prison. Here is a quote from Pesikta Rabbati 34: "A pauper and riding on an ass (Zachariah 9:9): This is Moshiach. And why is he called a "pauper"[ani]? Because he was impoverished [nit'ane], all those years in prison, and the sinners of Israel ridiculed him." There all lots of quotes about Moshiach being in prison, struggling for release, to come and save us.We have to deserve him...so far we don't.

Here is another quote from Midrash R. Yishmael

R. Yishmael said… When the son of David comes, the whole world will be like a woman in labor. People will eat and drink but their hearts will not be in it.The holy will moan and noble families will scream. Cities will shake and nations will tremble. Vines will not bear fruit, and olives will wither, making wine and oil costly….…Moshiach will leave prison with his stick and haversack, approach the nations and say, “I will now confront you.”
