Christchurch Hit by Severe Earthquake

Aftershocks are continuing to hit Christchurch New Zealand after a "severe" earthquake struck the city, prompting buildings to be evacuated.

In what appears to be a re-play of the 2011 quakes which severely damaged the Christchurch Cathedral, the building has again been affected by today's quake.

Very sad. The Asia-PAC region has a number of fault lines and tectonic plate shifts. It's going to be an ongoing experience sadly. Japan will likely be hit again soon, too.
