Sept 8: Presidential Address: commentary by Richard Adams, The Guardian:
7.15pm: Now Obama is explaining his American Jobs Act, stressing that every proposal in it has been supported by politicians on both sides:
It will provide a jolt to the American economy ... you should pass this jobs plan right away.
At that moment a huge crash of thunder and lightning is heard over NW Washington.
Source: Guardian
Note: video does not contain the lightning, you don't need to watch it.
Dum de dum dum....ding...I smell something fishy.....
ReplyDeleteDevorah,
ReplyDeleteCan't you please spare us the agony of watching and hearing this moron, and just give us the time to fast forward to.
the huge thunder and lightning jolt isnt heard on the video
ReplyDeleteSorry, I just put the video there because I thought all you Americans would want to hear what he said.
ReplyDeleteEsp. Vanguard :)
Hearing someone lie over and over and over again is extremely agitating. I couldn't care less. I can't stand him. Needless-to-say, I didn't watch his campaign speech...
ReplyDeleteI hope calling Obama a moron has nothing to do with the color of his skin.
ReplyDeleteRacism may not be equivalent to Anti-Semitism but it's very close -they are both evil.
Nothing to do with his skin Anonymous. But you knew that already, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteso around 2 million people were not able to listen to Obama's speech......

> Power Out for Millions in California, Arizona and Mexico
>
> Published September 08, 2011
>
> | Associated Press
>
> SAN DIEGO – More than 2 million people on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border were left without power Thursday after a major outage that extended from Arizona to southern California, including San Diego, the eighth largest U.S. city.
>
> Mike Niggli, chief operating officer of San Diego Gas & Electric Co. ruled out terrorism but said the cause is unclear.
>
> "To my knowledge this is the first time we've lost an entire system," he said at a news conference.
>
> The outage that started shortly before 4 p.m. PDT extended from southern parts of Orange County to San Diego to Yuma, Arizona. It also is affecting cities south of the border across much of the state of northern Baja.
>
> All outgoing flights from San Diego's Lindbergh Field were grounded and police stations were using generators to accept emergency calls across San Diego County.
>
> Charles Coleman, a spokesman from Southern California Edison, said the two reactors at the San Onofre nuclear power plant went offline at 3:38 p.m. as they are programmed to do when there is a disturbance in the power grid, but there was no danger to the public or to workers there.
>
> Residents in parts of eastern San Diego County and Yuma, Ariz. endured sweltering temperatures with no air conditioning.
>
> "It's 113 degrees right now outside and 75 in my office," said Yuma city spokesman Greg Hyland, who was sitting in the dark, answering calls.
>
> Niggli said relief was on its way, slowly. He said his 1.4 million customers may be without power until Friday.
>
> He said the utility lost power due to a transmission failure that started at a large switching station in Arizona, where several high-voltage lines come together, although the cause has not been determined.
>
> "I suspect the system was overwhelmed by too many outages in too many places," Niggli said.
>
> In the desert heat of the Palm Springs area, the temperature was 111 on Thursday, with the rolling blackouts. The Eisenhower Medical Center will serve as an oasis of air conditioning since it operates on its own power source, said hospital spokeswoman Deborah Johnson.
>
> Johnson welcomed fragile seniors and others affected by the heat to cool off in their lobby.
>
> Five hundred to 2,000 SoCal Edison customers in southern Orange County and Riverside County are currently without power and there is no estimate for when power will be restored, Coleman said.
>
> In southern Orange County, the sheriff's department dispatched deputies to busy intersections because traffic lights were out, said John McDonald, a sheriff's spokesman. Outages were confirmed in San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano and Laguna Hills, he said.
When I was a kid and my family took a trip to Israel, I was in the Me'arat Hamachpeila on Shabbat. During Hazarat Hasha"tz, the Hazan said, "Ata Gibor Le'olam Hashem" and all of a sudden, we heard a loud "BOOM!"
ReplyDeleteWe found out later that the army was detonating a Heifetz Hashud in the distance.
Dear anonymous: Why don't you and all like you stop pulling the race card whenever someone justifiably criticizes Obama? America voted a Black man into the oval office. Now we have a right to criticize him now that he is there. Pulling the race card is a way of shutting us up. His Marxist intentions are evil and not wanted by 90% of Americans. His involvement in the Unions -- you approve? His incitement - you approve? I haven't even stated the danger he is to Israel. He's Black?? So what? He puts his pants on one foot at a time just like any man. He's screwed this country up BIG TIME. Do you suggest we ignore it because he's Black? Now I ask you, who's the racist?
ReplyDeleteShalom Devorah,
ReplyDeleteOn Nother matter, on the blog of Bat Aliya - she sounds just as the blogger , Tomer Devora does. Are they the same person? She has Nir Artzi doom and fear factor prediction who are never quite accurate and readily available in the Torah or the autistic blogs. Are they the same person?
I don't understand what good is it to scare fellow Jews to death when they can not do anything such as leave everything and go to Israel or you will die! or, only the Jews in Israel will survive.....what is this hate for nothing and lash on hare in disguise?
A true Rabbi will tell us all to work on Teshuva and Emuna and love for nothing.....not this? What does he expect to gain from it? Fame?
Jews in Israel assume that everyone has some family to go to or they are rich and are just to spoiled and love egel hazahav to come to Israel!! Notice, they never give solutions real ones at least, they only send you to the Aliya or Jewish Agency office and not every Jew qualifies for their programs. then they tell you, just have faith and come, you will find work- although there is sever povery and unemployment in Israel. also, they will never tell you how will you afford the tickets even let alone a room in a hotel until you will find work......that is the only time they will tell you to have faith in HaShem or will accuse you of not having any at all if you don't come! Or, how about the Jews that were lucky enough to do Aliya themselves, now they forget that they were in the same as all of us rich Diaspora Jews before and faced problems like us. They forget, HaShem loves all of his Jews not just the ones in Israel and with proper Teshuva and Emuna we will be saved no matter where we are! They forget HaShem Torah promises to us his children. We each are exactly where H"B wanted us to be at this moment, he is the master of the world and sometimes no matter how much we try to change out situation in life we can't ...... All is in his hands no matter what people like Nir Artzi- who as I recall is not a Rabbi...... And proud Jews pro forget their humility and complain and judge us Jews in the Diaspora.
Please Devorah post this post, maybe fellow Jews can say what do they think about being bullied by other Jews who made Aliya lor regular Jews who live in Israel who mecatregim alinu....without even showing us any Chesed!
Devorah, I keep noticing that often the comments have the icons,
ReplyDelete'quot in them. Are they typos or have some meaning? Thanks.
Bat Aliyah and Tomer Devorah are two separate people.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people click on to the ben Artzi translations, so I'm leaving it there. I doubt if too many are influenced by them though, it's just the curiosity factor.
Anonymous: those 'quot letters that appear are something to do with html code and how it reads symbols. Can't do much about it, I don't understand it either.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Anonymous, I heard so many people in my area in Florida say that they were going to vote for Obama BECAUSE he is black. So many of us have said, "Well, hang on a minute. Voting for someone because of his color is racist just like not voting for someone because of his color. They didn't want to hear any of that, of course.
ReplyDeleteObama has really really really screwed up this country very badly.
That Anonymous commenter who raised the RACE issue, and the contemptible person in the white house, and the likes of Taliban and Syrian killers - essentially have no differences. That commenter is just as willing, just as eager, to trample the human rights of fellow countrymen, at the whim of an empty brain.
ReplyDeleteI am no Obama fan in anyway -policy or personality. Though I have an idea/guess the evil Obama might do to Israel down the road based on bible prophecy, I have not seen anything he has done so far that is any more evil than George Bush. There's a difference between dissing and policy criticism. Pointing out the difference is not a race card.
ReplyDeleteThe conservatives and others who are on an Obama dissing spree now only have themselves to blame. How many of them would vote for Alan Keys who is as pro Israel and conservative as they come ??
You may or may not be aware of this software development but it's possible that some of the blatant "Gd bless America" comments you sometimes experience may have something to do with this:

I would vote for any Black Conservative before I would vote for another Israel-hating, Marxist race baiter who is instigating class warfare.. I thought Jimmy Carter was the worst US President. He is heads above Obama in competency. Carter let the Islamic genie out of the bottle and Obama's bringing down America. It's going down! And it's not coming back! History is not linear, it is circular. We have seen this before... Hope and chains...
ReplyDeleteThis has nothing to do with race or politics.
ReplyDeleteThis has all to do with credo !!!
The world of sheker is coming to an end and the world of emet is sprouting.
Obama-loving-Anonymous; Like I said, you're mindless and dangerous. Out of the blue, because someone discredits the idiot you voted for, you bring up Bush's incompetence, as if that can save America from tanking, as someone keenly points out, irreversibly, in a downward spiral. Instead of seeking to throw a lifeline to those drowning, trying to stall the slide over the edge - you, on a whim, pour a little oil over it. You're the result of a college "education" with demented professors the Jewish liberal mindset embraces. Hopefully, your condition is reversible.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Obama theory...
ReplyDeleteObama is the modern version of Pharoah. I think this theory explains how someone with such "credentials" and "smarts" could be having such a terrible time leading this country. It obviously doesn't help that he continues to blame everyone else for the problems and takes no responsibility for the errors that he has made. Because Obama has not learned from 3 years worth of mistakes,
God has hardened heart so that he will continue to make the same choices (mistakes) over and over again expecting a different outcome. Obama is the vehicle that God is using to be able to present the plagues to the Jews and the world just like it was necessary to for the Jews in Mitzrayim (Egypt) to experience the 10 plagues before God took them out of Egypt.
The plagues are so obvious it's almost laughable and predicatable. Now all we need is an outbreak of locust or the like... God is giving us all the signs loud and clear. Now it's up to us. Elul is upon us.
Thoughts?
Herman Cain for President would be good. He is black, too. I would vote for him. I am not a racist. This is something that is so obvious. Could you imagine it? Obama and Cain up on the podium and America votes fo rCain. What woudl the "race card callers" say then?
ReplyDeleteObama would not have ran if only Black people voted for him. He won because a lot of White Americans voted for Obama.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you, Anonymous. This is Pharoah. And Hashem is hardening his heart. His unwavering cluelessness is a good indicator. Earthquake, hurricane, baking heat, the Washington Monument and it's pyramidion.
http://www.nps.gov/nr/travel/wash/dc72.htm
When Lt.Col.Thomas L.Casey, Mills' successor, resumed work on the project in 1876, he heavily altered the original design for the monument so that it resembled an unadorned Egyptian obelisk with a pointed pyramidion.
Pyamidion damaged:

The part about the top of the monument resembling an unadorned Egyptian obelisk with a pointed pyramidion is amazing and fitting. I am concerned that the Comet Elenin will bring about the plague of darkness. Is anyone preparing for that? It will all take place during the chagim.
ReplyDeleteHow do you prepare for a plague of darkness?
ReplyDeleteI think we're all in the dark now anyway.
lots of candles, some flashlights for the short term, non-perishables...
