President Obama slapped new sanctions on Iran Monday, freezing all property of the Central Bank of Iran, other financial institutions, and the central government.
"These actions underscore the administration's resolve to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its failure to meet its international obligations," said a statement from the Treasury Department. "Iran now faces an unprecedented level of pressure due to intensified sanctions applied by the United States and complementary actions by many others around the world.
"The new E.O. issued today re-emphasizes this administration's message to the government of Iran -- it will face ever-increasing economic and diplomatic pressure until it addresses the international community's well-founded and well-documented concerns regarding the nature of its nuclear program."

ReplyDeletei just dont buy his lies anymore. by the time they drag the sanctions his beloved persia would have what isr does not want it have. May it be Hashem's Will, that with all the time give, they refuse to repent, may the harm they wish to do to isr, fall on their own heads.
ReplyDeleteWill Iran fall on Purim or will Gog and Magog start. If you cannot make aliyah before Purim, I suggest you stock up on food and water at 3 months for each person of your family. Also get 3 month supply of medications, extra pair of glasses and keep cash at home. Please post if you care about people.
ReplyDeleteI care about people, and won't repost. Indeed, (needless) worry takes away from the simcha one should be having on Purim.
ReplyDeleteThe Jewish Bible says not to depend on Miracles. You should have either made aliyah or have 3 months of stuff before Purim. Do not make a joke of Jewish survival. What is the only reason a person cannot descrecrate Shabbat? Preservation of Life.
ReplyDeleteAnon:
ReplyDeleteAre you willing to state, for the record, your full name? Are you willing to apologize on this forum if Gog and Magog doesn't start on Purim?
If not, why should ignoring a random anonymous commenter's strange apocalyptic predictions be a violation of the Talmudic instruction of not relying on miracles?
I am not the one making a joke of Jewish survival.
kol tuv,
Josh
Anon. most Jewish People are aware of the Talmudic dictate that states we must not rely on miracles.
ReplyDeleteBy now,I imagine, most readers of Shiratdevorah would be well aware that we need to make a 'keli' (a vessel) for a miracle. Once THAT'S done, to the very best of ones ability, we don't just sit back and wonder 'will it - or will it not' happen??? What we then do is to harness our sincere FAITH and TRUST in the Creator of Heaven and Earth!
Your predictions engender a sense of panic. That is so, so DANGEROUS! Panic is categorically anathema to the Jewish belief system!
ABSOLUTE faith and trust in the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, coupled with TESHUVA-TEFILLA-TZEDAKKA is, and has always been our 'answer' in times of crises.
Only the Lubavitcher Rebbe was able to make predictions, and publicly call upon his followers and others who heeded his Divine and Sagely instuctions, as just prior to the First Gulf War. Fortunately, I was one of them...
With prayerful wishes for Yidden and all good Gentiles around the globe that we again bear witness to "Wonders and Miracles" as in the times of Esther and Mordechai in Persia (Iran) and in more recent times during the First Gulf War and beyond!
Thanks Anonymous 11:04, that was a great response.
