The Silent Scream

from the writings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov

You can shout and scream with a "still, small voice" without anybody hearing you. Everybody can do this. Imagine the sound of such a scream in your mind. Imagine the shout exactly as it would sound. Concentrate on hearing the scream in your mind until you are literally screaming with this soundless "still, small voice" - and nobody else will hear anything.

This is actually a scream and not mere imagination. Just as there are channels that bring the sound from your lungs to your lips, so there are nerves that bring the sound to the brain. You can draw the sound through these nerves, literally bringing it into your head. When you do this, you are actually shouting inside your brain.

When you imagine this scream in your mind, the sound actually rings inside your brain. You can stand in a crowd of people screaming this way and no- one hears you.

It could be that when you do this, a faint sound may escape your mouth. This is because the sound traveling through the nerves to the brain can also activate the vocal organs, and they may then produce some sound. But it will be very faint.

It is much easier to shout in this way without words. When you wish to express yourself in words, it is harder to hold the voice in the mind without letting a sound escape your lips. Without words, it is much easier.

  1. I want to share with you a segula for everything that people need. Parnassa, Refua, Yeshua and to get children , etc. Baruh Hashem I got everything I need(I am doing this for years), and many people who I know they got everything they need.
    Baba Sali seuda.
In his seuda we are connecting three jewish month Nissan, Iyar and Sivan.
We have to wash for bread on erev Rosh Hodesh Nissan before shkia and have seuda till after 3 stars come out.
This year erev Rosh Hodesh Nissan is erev Shabbath, so we have to accept Shabath early, come home and do Netilat Yaddaim before shkia and finish seuda after 3 stars come out. Eat kezait of bread after 3 stars then recite Birkat Hamazon.
(Recite it slow, with a joy, because Neshama Yetira gets the most pleasure from Birkat Hamazon).
Do the same thing on erev Rosh Hodesh Iyar (Connect it with seuda to Sivan). Try to eat meat and wine at the seuda.
Another thing I want to share with you is whoever can fast on erev Rosh Hodesh Nissan, should fast.
Fast calls Yom Kippur Katan and it is easy because falls on friday and we can only fast till Hatsot. There is an opinion in Gemara that New Year is Rosh Hodesh Nissan.
We should cry to Bore Olam to forgive us(pray for Klal Israel) and ask Him to send Moshiah Tsidkeinu with Rahamim.

  2. Sorry, I made a mistake with dates for this segula. We are connecting Nissan with Iyar and Iyar with Sivan.
    So correct days are:
    1st seuda
April 22(30 nissan) start before shkia(eat kezait of bread) and finish after 3 stars come out(1 Iyar)(eat kezait of bread).
    2nd seuda
May 21(29 Iyar) start before shkia(eat kezait of bread) and finish after 3 stars come out(1 Sivan)(eat kezait of bread).
Hashem should bless you with everything you need. Amen!
    Shabbath Shalom

  3. For the 2nd seuda, even we start on regular day, we recite Birkat Hamazon with Yale Veyavo for Rosh Hodesh (usually we don't do this, but there is an opinion that if we eat kezait of bread on Rosh Hodesh we say Yale Veyavo). I only follow that opinion for this seudot.
