North Korean rocket fails, crashes into sea

North Korea said its much hyped long-range rocket launch failed on Friday, in a very rare and embarrassing public admission of failure by the hermit state and a blow for its new young leader who faces international outrage over the attempt.

The isolated North, using the launch to celebrate the 100th birthday of the dead founding president Kim Il-sung and to mark the rise to power of his grandson Kim Jong-un, is now widely expected to press ahead with its third nuclear test to show its military strength.

"The possibility of an additional long-range rocket launch or a nuclear test, as well as a military provocation to strengthen internal solidarity is very high," a senior South Korean defense ministry official told a parliamentary hearing.

  1. Faith In The One AboveApril 15, 2012 at 2:25 AM

From this we see that the hand of Hashem (God) thwarts destructive behaviour and sees to it that evil plans do not work.

This is Hashem's reminder to the world that He is the Only Creator, and the Only Controller. The Creator is the true One and Only Power, the true Source. There are other things that have power, but none of them are God, and none of them are like God nor do they have any superiority over the way the World is controlled or run .

Hashem (God) is THE Power. There is NONE besides HIM!

Now is a good time to focus on deepening our relationship with Hashem, through faith, love, appreciation and fear of Hashem, and gratitude for all of our blessings. May we only hear good tidings.

  3. To the Jew and Western Non-Jew, the concepts of "face", "saving face", "honour" and "death or glory" are today totally alien concepts or distinctly politically incorrect. But to the Asiatics, of whom the Koreans are the quintessence, they mean EVERYTHING! In addition, the Asian, like the Ishmaelite, has a different perception of time: they think, act and prepare in terms of CENTURIES! The N.Koreans are far from finished. R.Avigdor Miller said that the Soviets, even though officially atheists, had one 'zechus' that enabled their evil empire to exist for 70 years: that they officially outlawed homosexuality. Today, N.Korea is virtually the only country in the world that still outlaws gays. Let's hope that this 'zechus' does not stand them in good stead with Heaven!
