Sydney Australia: Blood Red Ocean

Several popular Sydney beaches, including the iconic Bondi, have been closed after patches of red algae were spotted in the water.

Patches of the red algae, a natural phenomenon that can be exacerbated by certain weather conditions, have been sighted between Bondi Beach and Maroubra Beach this morning.

Both Bondi Beach and Clovelly Beach are closed while authorities conduct tests in the water.

Gordon's Bay was also closed due to the algal bloom, with Beachwatch posting a photograph on Twitter showing water the colour of tomato juice.

Bob Carr is Australia's Foreign minister and a left winger to boot. Being the former Premier of New South Wales, his home city of Sydney is turning the colour of "Edom" ie: red.

Not a good portend but that is what awaits his betrayal of the Jewish people and his sympathies for the Palestinians. Therefore Australia will abstain from the UN vote. Mind you if Australia had of voted for Israel there would of been a major revolt from all the front bench ministers.

    Midda kened midda.

    1. JULIA GILLARD has been forced to withdraw Australia's support for Israel in an upcoming United Nations vote after being opposed by the vast majority of her cabinet and warned she would be rolled by the caucus.
As a result, Australia will abstain from a vote in the United Nations General Assembly on a resolution to give Palestine observer status in the UN, rather than join the United States and Israel in voting against the resolution as Ms Gillard had wanted.
In a direct rebuff of her leadership, Ms Gillard was opposed by all but two of her cabinet ministers - Bill Shorten and Stephen Conroy, both of the Victorian Right - during a heated meeting on Monday night.

  2. There have been other examples of red water in which Red Tide, or algae that makes the water red, has been ruled out. Examples are in places like China, Antarctica, and Lebanon, I believe.
Scientists still don't know what caused it.
