I remembered a statement of a famous rabbi, I do not remember his name right now. But I remember having read a statement that it Mashiach ben Yosef was a secular who repented and since then has not sinned more. It seems to me that Jonathan Pollard since his return in repentance in prison is not the same man. He left renovated with an aura of holiness around him, visible in these pictures. A cheerful look and holy.
I agree. There is something holy, serence and kindly in his face. I remember reading that, while in prison it was his job to wash the toilets in order to avoid desecrating Shabbos. He ate basically only tuna fish in order to eat only kosher.
