Earthquake Italy

'People trapped under rubble' following 6.0 magnitude tremor.

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck central Italy early on Wednesday, with reports of damaged buildings and blackouts near the epicentre Rieti and residents fleeing their homes and running into the streets.

The shallow quake, estimated to have struck after 3:30am at a depth of 4km, was felt across a broad section of central Italy, including the capital Rome where people in homes in the historic centre felt a long swaying followed by aftershocks.

The mayor of Amatrice, which so far appears to be one of the centres worst affected by the quake, said that half of the town is gone.

Aftershocks are still being felt across the whole of central Italy all the way to Naples and Foggia and with people reportedly in the streets in Florence.

So... what's the point? Seven years ago there was an earthquake in the same region that left 300 dead, and Mashiach didn't come by then. There was also an earthquake in 2012.

It should be just the prequel to a larger one which will swallow the Vatican whole.

Always earthquakes in Italy, I know Ginno. I just generally blog the big quakes. I have family in Italy, but thankfully not near the quake zone.

The history of Jews being forced into slavery and taken to Rome is enormous, that many Italians have Jewish ancestry. Rabbi Wein remarked that if one visits Rome (and Vatican), perhaps it they should say Kaddish for all the Jews who died working to build the city.

This just means to me that it is time for the Jews of Rome and Italy to come HOME!

Just think about the story of how Italy was formed in the first place, “Solomon marrying …….”, so it is not inconceivable that it could disappear in just the same manner (being swallowed into the water).

Some of the Italian Jews came from Libya, fleeing Gaddafi who stole their money and possessions. Next stop Israel, no doubt.

For the record.... This earthquake happened 1937 years to the day from the destruction of Pompeii in 79 CE.
This has the making of a catastrophic disaster...only time will unveil the true scope of death and destruction.
Also Amatrice is Italian for female lover (pagan overture)
