Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of the seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the bruise of His people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
19 For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the wicked people and all the evildoers will be like straw; and that coming day will burn them up, says Hashem, Master of Legions, so that it will not leave them a root or branch. 20 But a sun of righteousness will shine for you who fear My Name, with healing in its rays, and you will go out and flourish like calves [fattened] in the stall. [Malachi 3:19-24]
For those of you keeping up with the Nibiru news and the strange events in the heavens, you will be aware that the sun has an almost permanent halo around it now. This halo has been the source of much discussion and speculation. In today's video Steve Olson quotes a physicist who tells us that this halo is the actually the new surface of the sun!
''The sun is charging up its new outer edge [according to this physicist]. ...This process seems to indicate that eventually all light from the sun will come from the outer edge of the halo - this would then become the new surface of the sun. This means we will have a far larger sun. I'm not sure what we would feel on earth but the possibility is that the sun would feel much hotter.... [from 1.42 on the video]

ReplyDeleteA ring or circle of light around the sun or moon is called a halo by scientists. We get many messages throughout each year from people who’ve just spotted a ring around the sun or moon. People want to know: what causes a halo around the sun or moon? Follow the links below to learn more about lunar and solar halos.
What makes a halo around the sun or moon?
If you see a halo, notice this!
What makes a halo around the sun or moon? There’s an old weather saying: ring around the moon means rain soon. There’s truth to this saying, because high cirrus clouds often come before a storm. Notice in these photos that the sky looks fairly clear. After all, you can see the sun or moon. And yet halos are a sign of high thin cirrus clouds drifting 20,000 feet or more above our heads.
These clouds contain millions of tiny ice crystals. The halos you see are caused by both refraction, or splitting of light, and also by reflection, or glints of light from these ice crystals. The crystals have to be oriented and positioned just so with respect to your eye, in order for the halo to appear.
That’s why, like rainbows, halos around the sun – or moon – are personal. Everyone sees their own particular halo, made by their own particular ice crystals, which are different from the ice crystals making the halo of the person standing next to you.
That is not the kind of halo they are talking about. This is a different kind of halo and not caused by ice crystals.
ReplyDeleteJews should quit listening to Xtian sources and Xtian interpretation of scripture. Does anyone think these people have more insight than Chazal.
ReplyDeleteI'm not listening to his interpretation of scripture, I'm listening to the physicist's interpretation of the halo around the sun.
ReplyDeleteI can't help being excited....!

Excellent post, Devorah, our Sun is surely showing new signs, and rising and setting differently. I also posted about this (Sunday-Monday) but just published this morning.
ReplyDeleteLeast. Devorah? Do we know when Rabbi Kessin's shiur will be up?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Two things: First, The ultimate truth is only Torah and there is no Torah amongst the nations of the world, only the Jewish people have and know Torah. The nations have wisdom in earthly matters such as science, etc. But, the real answers come only from Torah.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, When Moshiach comes we will have light that is sevenfold the light of the sun but it will be from the Ohr Haganuz (the hidden light) and not the light of the sun.
We have been seeing this halo around the sun as well and wondered what it could mean...
ReplyDeleteDon't know Leah, they have uploaded 96 new shiurim from 1980 - see the Torah Thinking blog in the Blog Roll. No sign of the one we are waiting for though.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous @ 10.38: As the Ohr Haganuz is spiritual, I am wondering if there is also any physical change to the sun at that time?
ReplyDeleteOk, Devorah. Thanks. incidentally, I had written "psst" and for some reason it auto- corrected "Least". Sorry.
ReplyDeleteOk, I will be patient. He leaves us hanging on, though, yes? :)
It's possible he didn't do a shiur due to illness or something, I guess we'll just have to wait until next week.
ReplyDeleteTo Anon @5:03 am. As I understand it, the Ohr Haganuz is also physical because the whole earth will be changed. It is even said that the waters of the oceans and seas, all of them, will be sweetened and no longer salty. The coming of Moshiach is totally Divine and even with this slow and natural process; eventually it will all be what we consider mirculous and the miraculous will be to us as natural.
ReplyDeleteMy soul sisters, so good to know there are others just like me "hanging on" to every word of Rabbi Kessin's motzei Shabbos shiurim on current events. I check the Torah thinking blog a few times a day to see if last week's shiur was posted. I can ask Eliezer from his blogpost to find out what happened.
ReplyDeleteJust found out that blog author wrote that it has been delayed due to technical reasons, and as of Aug 1st, he said it should B'ezras Hshem be up in a few days. Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Abby True. I appreciate it very very much. I hang on to his words of chizuk.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Devorah- for putting up with my "antsy nudginess." :)
In these days, we need chizuk and rabbi Kessin's chelek of Torah is so amazing and inspiring.
