A strong willed person, with the Shema, can in most instances guide their thoughts in the right direction, ever upward to Shamayim. Together with Emuna and Bitachon, one can remain faithful to HaShem and His laws, that govern life on Earth, knowing that a 'cushion' of teshuva is available.
