Israeli site Sod1820 is reporting that 40 years ago, Rabbi Kadouri zt''l predicted that before the coming of Moshiach, there will be an election and they will not be able to form a government.

It has been publicised previously and it is certainly true in that it was predicted by Rabbi Kaduri ztl - it wasn’t spoken about too often as a failure to form a government did not happen until now.
Jesterhead: I can't remember where and when, but I have heard this before. Dreaming of Moshiach also states that Rav Eliezer Abuchazera, zsk'l mentioned this. I can't vouch for too many people on the internet, but Nava at Dreaming of Moshiach does not make things up. If she writes it about Rav Kaduri, you can believe it.

Devorah, that's why I posted what I did here. I was in touch with Nava before she made it back to E"Y, when I was still a new olah. I don't know her as well as many (like you, for instance), but still, I believe her as well.
I did ask her where she got her information, however, because the source she appeared to get the quotes from, Sod haHashmal, deleted the post they were on (same fonts and all) for whatever reason.
Rabbi Berland gave over the following very short, but very meaningful message: “Today is the 4th of Sivan [5779], and Gog and Magog will be in [the month of] Heshvan. All the nations will gather together against Israel. Moshe will blow on the Shofar HaGadol (the Great Shofar), and the whole Torah will be heard from one end of the world to the other. It’s written in the Zohar (at the end of Parshat Ki Tavo) that the whole sea will be filled with [war] ships. Then the sea will split, and open. In the month of Heshvan, there will be the apex of wars. Sivan 4th is the beginning (of Gog and Magog), and in the month of Heshvan, the Third Temple will be built. “We need to not give up. Everyone repeat, ‘it’s forbidden to give up’. And then, the Temple will be built that will never be destroyed ever again.” These are the words of Rabbi Eliezer Berland, shlita, at the ‘Matan Torah’ prayer gathering that took place on Thursday night, June 6, 2019, with thousands of people in Hevron.

I didn’t see the Sod haHashmal post - Sod1820 is still there - other sites have picked up the story - anyway I still believe he said it.
