Someone asked me via email if we will be alone in our rooms when Moshiach comes. This was also mentioned in the comments of the
Years of Awe blog, and referenced by
Yaak as follows:
Isaiah 26:20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
Bava Kamma 60b
The Sages taught: If there is plague in the city, gather your feet, i.e., limit the time you spend out of the house, as it is stated in the verse: “And none of you shall go out of the opening of his house until the morning.”
Thank you, for Years of blog and the other ones too..
ReplyDeleteLove you too Annie
ReplyDeletei think this was about the Gulf war 1, i remember, i was in one of those sealed rooms, they gave this verse at the time, not my idea !
ReplyDeleteDuring the first Pesach, we were essentially alone in our homes, with whomever was in our family...waiting for a few days to see if the lamb was unblemished. Comes to my mind in this very situation; Moshiach must be a hair breadth away!
