What I'm not quite sure about is that the war of Gog U'Magog is supposed to take place in Yerushalayim when the nations come up against Yisrael. This is a worldwide affliction, but not one that is solely against 'Yisrael'. This is an event leading up to the Geulah and once Moshiach is here, think that's when Gog U'Magog takes place. Some Torah scholar out there to answer this question?
The UN already fought, continues to fight EY. The nevua MAY have come b'rachimim instead of with swords. Or, it is a spiritual war fought after Moshiach.
