Psalm 113 dovetails beautifully with the Haftarot read on both days of Rosh Hasahana.
On the first day the uplifting navua of Chanah (1 Samuel Ch2 v6-8) underscores this concept in almost the very same words and on the second day we read the amazing navua of Yirmiyahu 31 foretelling the comforting of Rachel who though shedding tears for her children who are lost in the land of the enemy will once more see their return.
These children through her son Yosef ha Tzadik are often collectively known as Efrayim. Efrayim,אֶפְרַיִם notwithstanding that his name may be rendered to fruitful from “pri” the words “Efer / Afar – ash” and “Yam – sea” are also evident.
Could it be that Yosef ha Tzadik in naming his son Efrayim was not really referring to his two sons (you could hardly say that two sons can be rendered fruitful or Menashe as forgetting) but prophetically referring to the future when his descendants would end up lost to history after the 10 northern tribes were expelled by the Assyrians......and in the end of days return from the dead/dust heap/dung hill and to be elevated to sit with the Princes/Yehudah.
This I believe is what Rav Ginsberg refers to as the true - COMPLETE - Redemption / Geulah Shlemah, only as The unification of ALL Yisrael under the banner of Mashiach.
Rachel's children are coming home. May we be poor/humble as Avraham who stated that he was but dust and ashes and humbly submit to HaShem's sovereignty to the glory of His Holy Name.
