There are so many source that were brought on your blog that point to 5786 (2026), it would worth a dedicated post. These are what I remember: 1) Rav Kessin from the resurrection of the death starting 214 years before year 6000 2) This one from Khohelt. Thank you Yaak for the post 3) I remember a post in yaak blog about the number of verses in the Torah, you also get to same year 4) Adam is, Adam David, Mashiach and you also get to same year 5) From Daniel and The dome of the rock according to the calculation of Rabbi Isser Z Weisberg Needs a bit more elaboration, do you remember any other?
The Adam/David/Moshiach calculation came out at 5782.
5786 is too far away for me to consider right now. I'm just focussing on this year and next year. We have all the signs NOW.
Rabbi Kessin says first we get MBY, then the Temple comes down, and then we get MBD. I don't want to imagine waiting so long because my patience is coming to an end with all this waiting.
The stock market crashed again today, seems to be doing that a lot lately. Of course we still have fiat money in our pockets, but hardly anyone has real cash these days, it's all credit cards since Covid made us scared of germs with real money.
I could settle for MBY now and MBD in 5786 though. :)
Um, somehow, I can't see a total Cashless society being allowed by G-d to happen, because that would be tampering with the thousands-of-years-old tradition of personally giving cash to tzedaka collectors, and of giving children chinuch to insert coins into pushka's. And doesn't it state "minhag yisrael din hu"? M.M.
I saw in the Hebrew artscroll notes sanhedrin page 97a note 44 that when the situation will get to a point when people will not have access to physical money H' will have rachamim and the process of the gheula will start (from a rashi in theillim and Daniel). I would share the text but don't know how to upload a picture here in the blog post
