Do You Hear It ?

For a long time now I've been hearing a strange noise, it's a cross between a plane flying above and a very strong wind.  Neither of those things are occurring when I hear it.  It last for about 30 seconds and then stops.

I asked one of my neighbours if she heard it, and she said yes but she thought it might be sounds from the main road and traffic.  It's not that.

Whatever it is, it seems to be coming from nowhere, it just IS.

So today I saw this article saying that 6500 people claim to hear this worldwide 'hum' noise.

https://www.news.com.au/technology/environment/6500-people-worldwide-claim-to-hear-mysterious-hum-noise/news-story/8ac5171485b0577a2bedf8f383b45a34

Map of countries hearing the "hum"

It's not tinnitus, which is an ear problem, and I am not going crazy - although I guess that's not for me to say :) - and I know other people have mentioned this in various places on the internet.

So I was wondering if anyone of you have heard this humming noise....?

  1. I have not heard it.

But it is a recognised phenomena.

Sometimes it is linked to industrial facilities, factories which produce a certain volume and frequency of noise.

    Other times to wind turbines.

But there have been many reports which have not been explained.

  4. Funny you should mention it. I just said to my husband a couple of days ago that I like to run a fan at night, even in the winter, because of a very low rumbling noise that I hear when it's very quiet.

  5. Is it false hope to believe that Moshiach is definitely coming now in 5784 because of the so many signs (and calculations/predictions)? I think many of us would be devastated and shocked if, G-d forbid, it didn’t come this year. With everything going on in Israel and the world and all these major signs, it just wouldn’t make sense for it to not come now in 5784. Please share your thoughts. Thank you

    3. I have literally been waiting for moshiach for the last 9 years. Some parts of my life r unbearable and I didn’t know how long I could hold on Some things rabbi Berland said made me believe that years ago was the year moshiach was coming. I also read that Hashem will do a great kindness for us by making us go through hardships. Meaning if we don’t do teshuva then when moshiach comes we will have to be purified and that might be too painful. So instead we have problems in our lives that r classified as a kindness from Hashem. And these problems help us get ready to greet Moshiach. For many many reasons I thought last year moshiach was going to come. I believe that we weren’t ready and it was sort of pushed off.I originally thought all the deaths from covid and the vaxs was our kapara but obviously I was wrong. I don’t follow or believe any Mekubal predictions anymore. It’s a nice read but that’s all it is to me.For What it’s worth I do believe moshiach is coming this year or next year. I yearn every day for him to come but I realized the acute , devastating disappointment all these years of waiting was too much for me. I can’t go through that anymore.
U also have to understand that when moshiach comes it will be a GLORIOUS MIRACULOUS way of life that will be for all eternity! The holiness will be too strong for a lot of pple. And some pple will not be able to absorb the kedusha so suffering down here before moshiach will help us get ready and be more open to the Torah way of life. Malky.

    4. Not everyone suffering now is on a low spiritual level and is suffering to be spirituality elevated to be ready for the incredible holiness of yemos hamoshiach. In fact, most people I know suffering are very pure and the reshaim are the ones not suffering since they will not be able to earn reward when Moshiach comes as Hashem will destroy the yatzer hara for eternity. Tzaddikim suffer for klal yisrael and for previous gilgulim. Reshaim dont suffer much because they don’t deserve the eternal reward Hashem wants to give them.

    5. I read that since the wicked pple will not accept their punishment and won’t grow from it the good pple have to suffer for them instead. I think we have to be a United pple and be happy to help out others . Sort of what moshiach I heard is doing for us. Suffering and going through hardships for the Jews I remember an old story about a young boy who was kidnapped The father came to the rabbi of the town to save the boy In the end another boy who was kidnapped together with the first boy was both set free. The rabbi explained how the first boy refused to be set free unless the other boy was let go too. The rabbi also said he had to work extra hard to get the 2 boy out. Meaning it was easy enough for the first boy. But since the love the boy had for his friend was so strong that he refused to go unless they went together Hashem sort of gave in. That is the unity and love that will bring moshiach. Nothing less than that. Malky

  7. Malky, there is more reason than ever before and more signs and more calculations to almost “prove” that Moshiach is coming this year. I know that you wrote that you do believe Moshiach is coming this year or next year, but there are so many reasons to drop the “or next year”! Believe it’s coming this year because it really looks like it’s for sure coming this year for so many reasons! Moshiach might even come today! It has to be EXTREMELY CLOSE, and very incredible joyful days for all of Am Yisrael are about to arrive!
