The Oscars 2024 - "An Overt Display of Jew Hatred"

Tonight’s Oscars was a subtle and overt display of Jew-hatred. Hollywood stars including Billie Eilish, Finneas, Mark Ruffalo, Ava DuVernay, Ramy Youssef and Quannah Chasinghorse wore red pins that represent the group Artists4Ceasefire.

Ramy Youssef explained that the pin symbolized “justice for the people of Palestine,” adding, “it’s a universal message of just let’s stop killing kids.”

Notably absent were the yellow pins representing the hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th. And that’s the point: if you’re calling for a ceasefire without calling for the release of the hostages, you are promoting Hamas’s agenda by questioning Israel’s right to self-defense.

It was Hamas who barbarically attacked Israel, breaking the ceasefire on October 7th. Since then, Hamas has consistently rejected numerous ceasefire proposals. Hamas is not interested in a ceasefire, it is interested in murdering Jews and sacrificing Palestinians. If these artists cared so much about a ceasefire, they’d be applying pressure on Hamas rather than attacking Israel.

At its mildest, this is subconscious antisemitism; at its worst, deliberate attacks against Jews. Either way, it’s appalling and needs to be addressed. We cannot allow Hollywood celebrities to be manipulated into furthering Hamas’s hateful agenda around the world.

That was Noa Tishby's IG post today.  She forgot to mention that....

.... not even Jonathan Glazer, the writer/director of 'The Zone of Interest', a masterpiece about the Holocaust — would stand up for Israel. Glazer, in a supreme act of self-loathing, went so far as to renounce his Judaism. Thanking his partners, he said: 'Right now, we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation which has led to conflict for so many innocent people.'

  1. Jon Glazer did not renounce his Judaism.

He called for an end to dehumanisation, and called for peace.

  2. LM I didn't watch it so I can't speak with authority, I was just quoting Maureen Callahan from the Daily Mail. From my POV she seemed to have written an excellent article exposing the woke morons of Hollywood. I will have to investigate further and if it's wrong I will retract.

  3. He said "refute" which, whilst not exactly the word "renounce" it means much the same thing in this context.

Director Jonathan Glazer focused on the war in Gaza in his acceptance speech at the Oscars, saying he refuted his "Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation".

“Right now we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation which has led to conflict for so many innocent people, whether the victims of October the 7th in Israel or the ongoing attack on Gaza,” he added to applause and cheers.

  5. The sheer ignorance of anything Jewish with many Jews, both in the galut and in E.Y. is
mind boggling. They do not even have the natural Jewish feelings in them and will stand against us together with the rest of our enemies. We are now at keitz hayamin (end of days) and the Jews are being judged from Above on whether they are on the side of H' or
on the side of our enemies.
At the end of the story, all true Jews (Jewish neshamot) will do teshuvah, even if it's only saying that now they know there is a G-D, the G-D of Israel, and will admit to the truth, but many who are the reincarnations of the Erev Rav or not true Jews according to Jewish Law will fare no better than all our enemies. Teshuva, the return to G-D will
    be required by all mankind.
Mankind is being filtered now (birur) - 'who is with G-D and who is not and evil' .

  7. Jon said that he refuted (i.e. did not want) his Jewishness to be defined by what he regards as an occupation of the Shomron, and that the Holocaust should not justify that occupation.

He did not renounce his Jewishness.

These are not views I agree with, but he remains a Jew and has not denied this.

  8. From those who watched the show, I understand this person did attempt to refute his Jewishness, to which he received huge applause. Personally, I don't understand why anyone wastes their time watching this dribble, let alone caring about a bunch of actors who make their living pretending to be someone they're not. But, I find this act to be sort of ridiculous. Firstly, you can't renounce, refute or whatever word you want to use your Jewishness. If you are a Jew, by halacha, then you're a Jew. End of story. And the people in the audience also don't have a clue, because they see Judaism the same way they see Catholicism or any other Christian religion, as something you can practice or not, but it doesn't define you. Sadly, even our own People don't understand the dual nature of being a Jew. It is a religion, yes, but also it defines us as a People. Hollywood is a sick industry. The primary issue for these "woke Jews" is that their "friends" have turned o them and they believe that by turning on we Jews in Israel (turning on themselves) their friends will come back to them. They will soon discover the truth of anti-semitism, there is no escape.

  9. Thnkfully, I didn't watch the Oscars so I am not sure about the details but from what I have been reading here, it seems that this guy is just another Hollywood Jewish non-Jew, i.e., a jew in name only. He obviously has not even an inkling of what a Jew is and the obligations a Jew has to Torah and, of course, to G-D Almighty. If he refutes everything Jewish & Jewish Law, maybe his soul is not Jewish and he stems from the Erev Rav.
It is one thing to be uneducated, uninformed and far from Yiddishkeit, but when one
rejects publicly and proudly his disdain for the holy place in the world for the Jew, he is not a Jew.
Another point I would like to bring out is that Judaism is not a religion. There is no such word as religion in the Torah because all other worship outside of Torah is called 'avodah zora'. We are from one familly, we are a people who are commanded by G-D to dwell alone and separate from the nations and because of our sins, we were thrown to the four corners of the earth, thus being able to be a light unto the nations. What Judaism is - is the Eternal Truth. A great Rabbi (Rabbi C,Zimmerman, ztl, who passed away maybe fifty years ago) was upset that even many rabbis also
refer to it as a 'religion', and he made clear that we should only refer Torah Judaism as the Eternal Truth!

  10. Here's another Erev Rav: Chuck Schumer
Mr Schumer, a Democrat and the highest-ranking Jewish official in the US, said Mr Netanyahu had "lost his way".

Chuck you lost your way long ago.
