In case you missed the comments in various places....thank you TKD for the "day of Hashem" gematria
March 2/3 2026 - Total Lunar Eclipse - Purim/ Shushan Purim
82 minutes during which the moon will be blood red:
82 is Yom Hashem- the day of Hashem - יום יהוה - (56 + 26), as in the quote:
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Hashem come. Joel 4:3

Whoa! Interesting!
ReplyDeleteI would add that if anything this occurrence has happened already... there have been dark suns and there have been red moons... the trembling of the heavens and earth shaking has also happened in different forms... but I think that the actual day that Yoel is referring to is when everyone will come to realize/know Hashem's Majestic rule over the world... whereas in mitzrayim it was known to one nation and rumblings got to the rest of the world this will be that each and every nation will come to recognize the creator. It's important to pay attention to the next pasuk,
5 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as the LORD hath said, and among the remnant those whom the LORD shall call.
Almost as if Yoel is telling us ''Before the Day arrives, the world looks like this.''
And then he's telling us exactly what makes it that day:
Calling Hashem’s Name! Recognizing/Acknowledgement of Hashem! Just what we celebrate on Purim and acknowledgement a recognizing of Hashem throughout the confusion/hiding/hastara Megilat Esther or to be Megaleh/Reveal the Esther/Hester the Hidden. Something we can relate to in the galut and even more the past few years. May we be zoche to see Hashem's Kingdom revealed in Rachamim B'karov Mamash!!
Amen !
DeleteThe Hebrew name יואל Joel - like the Prophet above - has a gematria of 47.
Delete47 is a popular number lately.
47th President
47 years of Iran's exile
Which brings us to Psalm 47 which is messianic
Psalm 47 is recited seven times in many Jewish congregations on Rosh Hashanah , specifically just before the central mitzvah of blowing the shofar.
Reasons for the Tradition
The custom of reciting Psalm 47 seven times is widespread in Ashkenazi communities and is attributed to several symbolic reasons:
Seven Mentions of God: The psalm contains seven mentions of Elokim (God), corresponding to the seven repetitions.
Seven Heavens: The number seven can also allude to the seven heavens that, in Jewish tradition, God created, which the shofar blasts are intended to pierce with their sound.
Coronation of the King: Rosh Hashanah is considered the "Coronation Day" for God as King of the Universe. The repeated recitation of the psalm, which includes verses like, "For God is the King of all the earth" (Psalm 47:7), emphasizes this theme of God's universal sovereignty and the recognition of His kingship.
Awe and Joy: The recitation helps create an atmosphere of both excitement and fear before the shofar blowing, as it is a moment of judgment for the world, a time to appeal for mercy and a good judgment for the coming year.
Universal Recognition: The psalm's universal call to "all you nations, join hands; sound the shofar to God with a cry of joy" (Psalm 47:2) reflects the hope that all of humanity will eventually recognize God's sovereignty.
Awesome!
