During a visit to the Prime Minister's Office, Rabbi Ben Tov made a remarkable statement to Netanyahu.
“It is very important that your love of Israel continue until the Moshiach comes because you are going to stay in office and are going to meet him,” Rabbi Ben Tov said to Netanyahu. “You are the one who will give him the keys to this office.”

DeleteI met Rabbi Ben Tov ztl", we had the zchut to have our mezuzot read by him. He was in the states around 24 years ago, I cant remember exactly why he came but he was reading our neighbors mezzuzot upstairs. They were Israelis and they made sure we met with the Rav and he read our mezuzot too. The Rav knew things about us he could have had zero way of knowing without having read it in the mezuzah. If the Rav, ztl" said that I would strongly believe it.

There was a video, but it's been taken down, and I saw the Rav up a ladder and he was saying the words. This is not heresay, I saw it with my own eyes [on video]. Just a shame that whoever put it up on You Tube closed their account.

DeleteI too have experienced these disappearances many many times with old video's i was seeking on youtube, only to find them gone with the wind. They were either comedies (such as the antics of an unlikely group of teen-boys who teamed up with the goal of founding a settlement up in the Catskill mountains), or else beautiful song video's such as "im eshkachech yerushalayim". Very frustrating.

I learned to take AI with a grain of salt. It constantly contradicts even itself, for crying out loud. I only use it to read between the lines, and for problem solving. And even though that statement was made supposedly referring to Bibi in the US.... all the Rebbe's statements could be taken in many different ways. Nothing that was said by the Rebbe was "simple" - much thought would be given to anything the Rebbe said to anyone.
DeleteAnd in all cases, the words had deeper meaning to the person they were spoken to, and other people would not understand that deeper meaning. So yes, it's relevant.
DeleteThe Rebbe knew how disastrous he would be for Israel. From the beginning, everyone said talking and presenting our case to the nations was his strength, but no, he had to have that top spot. That was what he signed up for, that was his job as a minion of TPTB. The Rebbe surely also knew that despite his words of encouragement to remain in chul where he could actually do some good, Netanyahu was determined, as well as destined, to be a destructive force. He signed away Hevron, He signed away Gush Katif, he signed onto the Abraham Accords and so much more horror!!! I will sponsor the biggest party when he has left the stage of history.
ReplyDeleteThe Rebbe knew everything, I can attest to that. He knew things about me.... and I never even met him personally. He wrote to me, he gave me brachot, he appeared in my dreams. When he told Bibi he could stay until the arrival of the Messiah.... it had a double meaning... which we can only see in hindsight.
DeleteI've never voted for Bibi, I vote as far right as possible. But Bibi must have merit if the Rebbe told him that Hashem is with him in his endeavors. He has the Rebbe's bracha and that's good enough for me until we're zoche to have Moshiach tzidkeinu. Plus what's the alternative....the parties that sat in a coalition with Arab terrorists, and are salivating at the idea of drafting all talmidei chachim into the army?

I believe Bibi has done a form of teshuva. Note his reading of Simon Jacobso’n’s books about the Rebbe, his own book speaking about the Rebbe and his declarations about Unity and the Tenple. He can’t be Erev Rav despite his previous behaviour- - he’s changed. He doesn’t forget the Rebbes words or his Mezuzot Rav.

ReplyDeleteAgree with flower commentator....tye Rebbe looks at Bibi in a positive way. If Bibi was Erev Rav that wouldn't have been the case. I don't support much of what Bibi has done bc I always take a hard right wing Kahanist view on things here. But I struggle with where to place Bibi on the spectrum. I think I'm increasingly kind of feeling Bibi isn't evil but sort of fumbling along and messing up along the way. I really hope I'm right and also that he does teshuva. But then I hope all of Am Yisroel does teshuva. I want all of us to make it in this time.

I may well have been rude last week, I was overwhelmed by anonymous comments, most of which headed for the trash bin, not just because they had no name attached, but because they were unprintable. It's a good question AA. The reason is because I had zero self esteem, due to events which had happened to me, and which I won't go into here.
DeleteThe night I was thinking about doing a blog, I had the dream of the Rebbe where he lit my Shabbat candles and that showed me that he would take care of things.
But for the first 10 years at least, I was terrified and would make myself sick over things I may have said that people would attack me for, or ridicule me. It took me about 20 years to not be affected by nasty comments [all anonymous of course].
These days, I just delete and ignore whatever they've said. I still worry about things, but only for a few hours, not for days or weeks or months. Baruch Hashem.
