Reconnaissance satellites have identified the huge missile at a government research and development facility in Pyongyang, South Korean government sources told the Chosun Ilbo newspaper.
Analysts estimate the weapon to be around 130 feet long and, equipped with a more powerful booster unit, capable of delivering a warhead more than 6,200 miles.
Unveiling the missile will raise new fears in neighbouring countries, already alarmed by Pyongyang's insistence that it will go ahead with the launch in mid-April of a rocket to put a satellite into orbit.
Washington, Seoul and Tokyo believe the launch is a covert test launch of a missile.
South Korean and US officials said they believe Pyongyang wants to show the new missile off at the military parade scheduled for April 15 to mark the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the founder of the nation, Kim Il-sung, or on April 25th, which marks the founding of the North Korean army.

It's shaping up that things are gonna start happening at the end of Pesach, which ties in with Terence McKenna's Time Waves and Pesach Possibilities

Am I the only one who feels like they are on a spiritual roller coaster? Last year I had a spectacular Purim, Shavuot, Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur etc. In between I felt so down. Now I'm experiencing this weekly. My friend said the time before mashiach comes will be like birth pangs- with tsoris coming closer and closer. Time is speeding up. Look how crazy the world is. The people are unraveling. I think we are here. I hope our effort to do teshuva will be sufficient.
Nothing bad is going to happen, it is going to be just the opposite, April 15 , Nissan 23-24 will be the one of the pleasant day in our history B'H
North Korea is aiding Iran in their "peaceful" nuclear program (yeah, right). Mutually Assured Destruction only works with sane people. I doubt you could put the leaders of NK and Iran in that category.
We are "here", but here could last 3 1/2 years or just 9 months. Does anyone know if North Korea is planning an actual missile launch for Seudat HaMashiach day? That would be on the 8th day of Pesach because in Eretz Yisrael there are effectively 8 days to Pesach this year too since no one can buy back Chametz until Saturday night after Shabbat Isru Chag. In a fascinating development, the Torah parsha in Eretz Yisrael on Isru Chag is Parshat Shmini.
More than the Japanese, Indians and even the Chinese, the Koreans are the quintessential Asians, the descendants of the Bnei Kedem whom Avraham sent away. They are the "Amolekites of the Far East", and if ever North & South were reunited, they would be so spiritually and wilfully powerful, they could take on all the other Far East nations combined. And there may be an End Time connection with Korea

We should not worry at all about future. It is similar to those who thinks about past time. It is nothing to gain from it. Live in the present and learn Torah and do mitsvot and trust to our Hahamim who said that" no bad things will happen to you, if you live according Torah". You just have to believe to the words of our hahamim. And know that everything is good coming from Hashem. With this thought you should not be afraid of missiles and other things. Our Neshama also did not want to go down(we were panicked) to this world Asia, but Hashem forced it for our benefit to get Olam Haba. So, it might heart a little bit, may be a lot, but this pain temporary pain will turn to eternity pleasure. Be happy, you will gain much more than worrying.
Klishlishi: but South Korea loves Israel, they study the Talmud, El Al flies there.... so the South Koreans must be very different from the North.
Devorah, we need to differentiate between "views and opinions", and "inner workings." True, South Korea has views and opinions that like Israel. But if Klishlishi is correct about their background (what is his proof?), then he is speaking about their inner workings.
I bet the people of North Korea are quite different from their leaders. They have been living in abject poverty under the heavy hand of Communist dictators for so long that might be more like their southern cousins than we realize.
One rabbi ask talmid: "What do you love to eat?" he answered:"Fish". Rabbi repeated his question: "What do you love to eat?" he answered:"Fish". Rabbi said if you love Fish you then have to buy aquarium and periodicly change water, feed them, NOT to eat them. Same here they like talmud, but not us.

The irony is that Israel sells arms to South Korea.

devorah, no one loves israel except Hashem. i know i should not sound so general on a race. but eventually chinese, koreans japanese seem to be interrelated. in appearane atleast. and these races have a tendency to look down on people as i have seen here. but to the jews they look up because they know and realise you all are a very intelligent people. its not so much liking you all, its wanting to know what makes you all 'tick'. from this part of the world their companies dont give room for other races to come up. very clannish and close knit. if can they suffocate the economices of others.
its not so much they like the talmud. they feel there is something in learning there that would make them intelligent like the jews. when the rebbe was doing his degree he scored fantastically and actually did the exams in lesser time allocated. one of the anisem. lecturers held back his papers wondering how he could score over 90% and answering in such a short time. later he checked his other papers and found out the scores there also were the same. grudgingly he kept quiet after that. the rebbe said it was the study of the talmud that made his mind sharp.
Devorah South korean ar typicial anti semites i see the in the states thay are just like chinese and thay want world
Interesting, because to get to Israel from Australia, you have a few choices: either you go via the US, which is the long way round.... or go the ''short'' way which is either via Hong Kong, Bangkok or South Korea. The cheapest way to fly to Israel from Australia is actually via South Korea.
I suggest that all who can fly to Israel do! Not because your safer, not because its the promise land, not because of religion, Because your Brothers and Sisters need you really bad, consider it like this, we have been estranged and there was a death in the family, Moshiach is coming to read the will. He will most certainly pull you back for the reading of such an important document. Your family here grieves for you're long lost presence due to our disagreements, lack of resources to get together ect.... Many times we have wished you were here to be a shoulder to cry on, we feel your absence in times of joy wishing to see your smiling face. We always knew in our hearts despite our disagreements, lack of resources to get together ect.... we love you and now more than ever we need you to come home.
very true tzvi. the true chinese buddhists like most in nepal and such, are not like the usual chinese. they are very humble. they are all chinese. maybe first second or third cousins. and they like to dominate. my second son went to melbourne a few times for prayers. and he said some parts literally are overrun by chinese immigrants, who become their whole family line there. so a friend of his, who is not racial, an australian, said he moved out of that place. not because he particularly wants only australian people but he said atleast there should be equal mixture. here he said everywhere he turns its only chiense and he did not want his children growing up like that. we have the same promblem. everywhere chinese, let it be koreans, japanese or whatever, they like to domiante and they do this now economically. they do it quietly and before you know shops, restaurants, malls are all chinese ones. and they dont share or teach except within their own.
I also have about 6 million brothers and sisters in the US. I can not leave them and relocate now. If all jews will come to Israel then I'll move with them, but for right now it is just words...We all waiting for that moment.
Ummm, I do believe all 6 million are welcome, loved and wanted, but then maybe not after what has happened in Hevron today.
