P.S. I'm so depressed at not being able to keep on top of time. How i wish I had time to hear all R'Kessin vids., and read all literature which comes out. But life for me is diametrically opposite of Henny Machlis (no exaggeration). For example, time expanded for Henny, but time contracts for me. Henny was fearful of "pain" yet undertook lots of childbirth. Conversely, my anatomy is excruciating chronic pain, head-to-toe, and to boot, I'm a mid-aged spinster. M.M.
Dear M.M, I wish you to have peace and refuah shelaimoh in all that you're going through. A chavruta and I are reading Emunah and Chicken Soup for the Soul. It is a great book, well writte, about Henny Machlis, a'h. My chavruta and I are using this as a tool for emunah. I think Henny had her challenges and she certainly had excellent approaches to these. What I and my friend's do regarding Rabbi Kessin's awesome shiurim is bite off a little at a time. Since he's putting out one per week and they have been running two hours in length, you could possibly take 20 minutes at a time to listen. Take little bites. His shiurim are so inspiring these days. It is a much needed guidance with chizuk for our trying times. I wish you well and a refuah shelaimoh on the physical pain you experience. Hold on tight. We seems to be almost there. Rabbi Kessin, with great jubilation mentions our closeness to the Geulah.
Thank you Leah, you always have great advice. MM I can only wish you a Refuah Shleimah, even if that sounds impossible to you right now... there will come a day when we will all be healed. May it be very soon.
Thank y'all! Though believe me, one of my issues is that I can only concentrate on one action a time, and even with that, I can be absentminded. So for example, if I'm doing things in the kitchen, I can't simultaneously concentrate on that plus auditory input. Shiurim, or radio, might play in the background, but I wouldn't absorb it. I've always been deficient at grasping verbal input, compared to written text. But in recent years, it only takes one paragraph of text to cause me to fall asleep. And if only that were the worst i've gotta contend with! I'm currently in a quandary, since i've been dx'ed with severe varicose, and the only non-invasive ablation for that is in England. There's no way I see the FDA making it easy to access, or insurance companies covering it so readily. (https://thewhiteleyclinic.co.uk/news-articles/hifu-varicose-veins-facebook-live-event/
I loathe all people who deliberately prevent patients from getting pain relief, no matter if sonovein, or stem cell tech, or yes!! cannabis too! Don't kid yourselves - I'm livid at the below (see link), which proves that frum policysetters, in their extreme opposition to cannabis, give zero thought to those in chronic pain. And it's especially loathsome, given that the B.Y. school system has been a huge cause of my predicament. Ha, ha, they're supposed to be rachmonim bnei rachmonim? Come to think of it, R'Kessin is on their side, no doubt, with respect to cannabis. So despite that his shiurim can be relaxing, there's plenty of his hashkafa that (to me) is debatable. See: https://matzav.com/say-no-to-drugs-lakewood-rabbonim-come-out-against-legal-marijuana/ M.M.
P.S. Sorry, Devorah, for baring the bald truth, but a spade is a spade no matter which way you look at it. See, if they're indeed rachmonim, shouldn't the rabbonim see to it that very-harmless cannabis-brownies (with a hechsher) is made available affordably at kosher markets, rather than throwing out the baby (i.e. pain-relief brownies) with the bathwater? (i.e. vaping/smoking)
Regarding cannabis oil etc, I think there is a lot of ignorance surrounding this drug. Personally I believe cannabis to be the most amazing plant ever. Cannabis oil is now legal in Australia, finally. Yes it does help with pain and anxiety and other things. I guess the problem for Big Pharma is that anyone can grow it themselves, it's like a weed... that's why it is sometimes called ''weed''. And to the person who emailed me, I would suggest you try it yourself, as you already have someone in the family using it, and see how it works for you. It is not addictive and it is safe.... I am not a doctor by the way... just giving you my opinion.
Just to clarify that I'm talking about cannabis oil, not smoking it. There is a difference... cannabis oil has often had most of the THC removed which is the part of it that gets you stoned. All the different cannabis oil have varying levels of THC in them, and I know many people who use it for pain associated with lots of different illnesses such as brain tumors, PTSD, chronic fatigue and more. It doesn't work for every kind of pain though, but it works extremely well for some things.
Devorah, thanks so much for your balanced outlook, rather than the constricted, suppressive, domination which has swept up mainstream OJ policysetters. FYI, twice I painstakingly composed emails to an OJ publication, to set the record straight regarding the propaganda-letter they'd published about marijuana. And EACH TIME they withheld my letters from publication. Never mind that they routinely print the most foolish and liberal, letters (along with loads of Torah articles from prestigious rov's and rabbi's). But when I send them Serious Truths to correct the previous letter-writer - NADA - total blackout! They may as well be Twitter and YouTube! I can't stand the hypocrisy!
I should also emphasize that I tried CBD oil a few years ago (a best-quality one which had been recommended from a user thru SiteJabber private-message) but it was of zero help to me. Note that i'd intensely investigated its authenticity and ratings prior to purchase. However much CBD has been propagandized, CBD is =not= THC (it's =not= the synergistic Whole Leaf), that much I gather from those in the trenches, i.e. inflammation & so forth.
But hey, i still decided to give CBD a try, and it was useless. Just as the propagandized Immunocal-Platinum, and Primal-Defense, and Blue-Green Algae, and CellFood, and SO many other heavily-touted "miracle foods" and homeopathy proved to be dead ends. I theorize that the reason they "work" for others, is because the majority of people with lesser issues, such as "internal clogs or minor sores" versus "bad injuries or deformities", have strong mind-body connections, so placebo's DO work for them.
Now, true to form, the OJ world is catching up with the idea of PEMF therapy (which I tried many years ago to no effect). Ditto re: a top-quality Infrared-pulsing mat shipped from California. And ditto re: the heavily-touted "miracle clay". Various brands of bentonite baths I'd tried years ago proved to be messy fiasco's. Yet that's also touted lately in our circles. Well fyi, ONLY the Dead Sea mudpools ON-SITE in the 1990s were for real. NOT Teverya sulfur-baths, and NOT the Salty-Southern-DeadSea. ONLY grounded-mudpools, PRECEDED by dipping in the Yam Hamelach. That was real, because it pull-pulled out positive-charged-toxins. It felt like a vacuum-cleaner's suction. But with my luck, I only got to try it a few minutes, and never got to go back there. And by now, it has receded and turned into dangerous quicksand.
Anyway, the above is just a tip-of-iceberg peek as to why I'm intrigued by ThriveOn, with their prioritization of health+energy innovations. Yes, I know they're "un-frum", but guess what? Un-health within the rut of phony unhealthcare of our communities is the reality that was thrust on me. M.M.
Reading of the awful pain that M.M. is going through, I was thinking why not readers of this wonderful blog start a healing prayer for M.M.
We could all say a tikun haklali, (it matters not if we do not know her name, Hashem knows.) and then also say for her this prayer that Moses said for his sister..."
To nonee & annie that's so kind of you, thanks! Perhaps during "malbish arumim" and "matir asurim" you can focus that Hashem should be matir-asurim (release) suppressed stem-cell tech, and thereby "malbish arumim" (replenish) ill people's depleted stem cells? M.M.

Trusting Hashem in all things might sound simple, but it is the bestest way. For Hashem created us all and knows us inside out. Yes Hashem also created doctors and medicine, and we need that too. For all that to work Hashem is in control of that too.
May you be blessed Annie. Amen.
M.M. I am a follower of Hashem, one could call me a Noahide. I follow the One and ONLY Gd, and i listen to some Rabbis, read blogs only 'kosher' ones like this one, and try to learn and follow the teachings as best i can. Regarding what you wrote about 'matir asurim', and 'malbish arumim', I do not understand but will search to see what it is. I do believe that even though they might be special times to say some prayers for certain things, i also believe that any time is good to ask Hashem for all things in prayer. Truly hope you feel better and Hashem heal you completely, amen and amen.

BTW, I also think Edward Snowden (in secular format) excellently explains current times, and the extent of media propagandism, in his vid's.
