The only time that Moshiach ben Yosef is mentioned in the Gemara is in Succah daf 52A. There the Gemara brings the passuk in Zechariah (12) which speaks of a great eulogy which will take place in the times of Moshiach. There is an argument as to who is the subject of the eulogy. One opinion is that they are mourning the death of Moshiach ben Yosef, and the other opines that they are mourning the death of the yetzer hara (evil inclination)......
....... it is the yetzer hara (evil inclination) that is being ‘eulogized.’ According to this opinion, Moshiach ben Yosef does not die, but rather, actually completes his task of destroying the forces of evil, and thus removes the evil inclination from the world (to a certain extent). According to the Gra and others, indeed, the decree of death for Moshiach ben Yosef has been rescinded (עוד יוסף חי), and thus the second opinion of the gemara is the one that will actually play out in reality. This is due to the length of the exile the Jewish people has endured, which has actually completely atoned for the sin of Yerovom ben Nevat, and therefore removed the need for Moshiach ben Yosef’s death.

I viewed Comet Atlas the past few days (in Northeast U.S.) at approximately 7pm. But unlike instructions that are offered online, I did not see Venus at all. Rather just the comet precisely due-west (where Venus is supposed to be). And unlike others who see its tail, I myself saw no tail, but rather just a very bright dot which kept shimmering with red, blue, and yellow colors.

How can gog u’magog be during Sukkos if the Torah says that Moshiach will come in Nissan? It would seem impossible for Moshiach to come at any other month other than Nissan since we are longer achishena (early)

Nate, there are two opinions. The Torah says in tishrei he will come after we do teshuva.
Second, here is R Naftali Nissim saying 5 days ago that R David Abuhatzeira said while receiving the public that moshiach will come in a matter of days. R Ron Chaya has heard the same about R David Abuhatzeira, as I've written in a previous comment.

Devorah, do you mean if we will be killed or not in the final end to gog u’magog which is about to happen, or do you mean if Moshiach will come within in our lifetime (I personally, for many during reasons, do not believe Moshiach can possibly be more than a year or two away…. if that’s what you had in mind)?

I don't believe there was an attempt on the PM's life. I believe it is a manufactured pretext to give powers that be, an excuse to escalate this war. To invite more foreign troops onto to Israeli soil, not to fight Iran but to turn their weapons against the Jewish people. There were American and British mercenaries working with Hamas on October 7. There is video of them leading a small boy into captivity..you can hear them speaking English.The American administration is not our friend. They have betrayed Israel over and over again. Whether it was a fake attempt or not, I think it's appalling that in a time of war, there are a myriad of Jews who can't wait to jump up and down screaming "fake fake" in order to show us all how sophisticated they are, and how dumb the rest of us are.....when they should really just keep quiet. Betrayal of one's country during a time of war is called treason. Mocking your country/leader during a time of war is tantamount to treason.
