There's a lot of information in this lecture..and basically he's saying yes we can pray at graves of Tzadikim but of course we're praying to G-d, not making an idol out of the Tzadik. So we all agree on that.
He mentioned Jews living outside of Israel....there is a reason why there are Jews outside of Israel, and that is because we have to rectify the sparks in those countries: see
Devorah, I think what commenter @ 9:51 means is that the Jews in the galut are surrounded by goyim and especially at this time before the coming of Moshiach, there are many converts stemming from these goyim and it is the responsibility of these Jews to welcome and befriend the new geirim so they can feel themselves as part of klal Yisrael and assimilate in a natural way with other Jews who are born Jews. This way they become a natural part of Am Yisrael like every other Jew.
ok, but the Gerim I know of who are real Gerim [as opposed to those who convert via reform etc] are all connected to Jewish communities, in fact the only way they can convert is by living in a Jewish community, learning the laws etc. and living as a potential Jew prior to their conversion. Moshiach will smell out the real Jews from the fake Jews and everything will be revealed when He finally gets here. May it be speedily and suddenly.
Devorah… there are also… gerim not able to live in the communities of the Jewish people, but somehow connected to learning from them… even though they’re not able to convert as of yet…( like my sister and myself…). Learning from all of you for over 15 years so far, but not able to convert… true blue gerim…
My initials are CBS! I’m a Lubavitcher, while doing my Chitas I’ve learned HaShem sends each person to wherever his or her sparks are to elevate them. Another reason why the Yidden where sent throughout the world is to collect the souls that are geirim zedekim and meant to be a part of Klal Yisroel.
But does not Gd see the heart and thoughts of a person...??? So if a person cannot convert for reasons.. but follows the belief of Torah, won't Gd judge according the the persons thinking? I think Gd would.
Then also, Gd put each of us in families as He wished, so cannot blame a person for being born in other families and Gd decides where each person goes. The child born into a non-Jewish family grows up as to how the parents teach him/her about Gd. Nu?? I feel it is how each human lives, acts and does , is how Gd would judge them. What they are taught by parents. Anyway that is my thinking...

CMS: I'm a gieret. Yes. As was said, the first thing I was told was to live in a community. There is so much to say the reason why that is so important. 2nd, unfortunately soul rectification called gilgulim can make a jew born into a non Jewish body. It's a big punishment so to speak. It then becomes more than just circumstantial. It becomes a fight to find Truth and rectify that soul back to a Jewish life. So much more to say.. -leah
This is an excellent video explaining how a person should go through obtaining geirus. You should know that a person must not keep Shabbos unless they are actually a Jew who has gone through geirus. Otherwise, you would be liable for a death penalty. Therefore, obtaining an actual geirus through a beis din (who is recognized by the State of Israel for doing geirus) is imperative. No one can be Jewish just by thinking they "feel Jewish". Your neshamah has to be revealed by the process of being interviewed by the beis din and going down the mikveh. You would also receive an official document verifying your geirus and the names of the rabbonim who performed your geirus. Then at some point if you wish to make aliyah by the law of return, your certificate of conversion is the only way to obtain it officially with the State of Israel. Hope this clarifies some of the confusion.
Thank you Rebecca, but the point being made here is that some people who genuinely want to convert cannot move to a Jewish community to do so. This situation affects a lot of people. Not everyone is in a position to uproot themselves and move in order to convert.
Understood. But, it doesn't change halachah. If there is a will there is a way. H-shem helps when you truly have the desire to do good. Here is an amazing story of someone who just went for it.
Thank you kindly Rebecca, what you say might be true. I completely agree how Devorah explains this issue.
When I was younger and working, I did try to do that to move to where Jews live. Could not afford the high rent where the Jews live in the city where i preside. Its a lot of stories, cannot go into all, suffice i did try, but was not feasible for me. Now i am in mid eighties, no way can i travel or go any where on my own. Besides i am ailing from some ailment. ( sounds funny. but really i am not in good health) I might not make sense to a lot of people, but I still say, its just my thinking - no offense here, but this is how I think : Rabbis are human too, have read a lot of things of conversions and Rabbis.
I still say and hold on to this belief, ONLY GD, not any human can really see into a persons heart and thinking, only the ONE Creator. No human. I have not been the bestest human, (which human is? who can say they have been perfect?? NO one is perfect, only the Creator.) Gd will judge me. I do not believe as many in other religions do, that there is that fiery burning pit, where the wicked will reside with some evil creatures, called devils in hell.
I thank Devorah for her blog, still my bestest place to visit, and I thank you Rebecca, Gd bless you both and all good peoples of the world, for there are many other peoples in other places, non- Jews who are good people.
I used to be judgemental, at this point in my old age, my thinking has changed, and its better I have learned in this late time of my life, to judge no one, (here too I fail many times, trying hard,) Gd will judge me and He Gd, will decide my fate, when I will come face to face with H-m.
Scary it might be, but Gd will judge me too, a non- Jew, as He will all of us, who will transfer to the otherside someday,. Gd - the- Alpha and Omega has chosen for each of us.
God bless all, I do believe we are at some time where all this crappy world will come to an end, and some will be lucky, and others will not. Peace to all. CMS
Just by the way, the word "goyim" which means "nations" does not refer to RIghteous Gentiles. Righteous Gentiles are different to goyim. RIghteous Gentiles have a place in the World to Come. So no need to worry, Hashem knows who you are.
As reported here, pundit Ben Shapiro went to the Lubavitcher Rebbe's ohel to pray with Trump last month, and claims that after that, Trump's victory was assured! What would have been terrible is if Kamala had also gone to pray at the Ohel! Faxes and emails to the Rebbe's Ohel are reputed to frequently bring good results! Palvanov has a point, but Saadiya Gaon says there are certain special souls eg Eliyahu Hanavi, who unlike other souls who totally depart and lose awareness of this physical plain for Olam Haba, remain partly present and 'alive and aware' in this physical universe i.e. is requesting the soul of the Rebbe to intercede with Hashem outright forbidden? The well- know Machon Shilo Halachic-controversialist and Pollard-admirer Australian R.David Bar Chaim in Jerusalem also ridiculed Chabad, and in short order he lost his wife and daughter, separately: "Beware of mocking the Baal Shem Tov and his disciples", as they say in Vilna and Ponovezh!
Kamala would never have gone to the kever of a tzaddik. Even if she hypothetically would have gone, she would not have received a bracha. She is fake and a liar.
Not everyone who asks for a bracha, receives one.
And even if they do receive a bracha, they must be a suitable keili [vessel] to receive that bracha. I know people who received brachot from the Rebbe but lost out due to their own behaviour. It always depends on the person's character and subsequent actions which result either in the fulfillment of that bracha, or not.
Rabbi David bar Chaim should not be ridiculing anyone, never mind a Tzaddik.
re: Palvanov has a point...... he said he went to the Rebbe's Ohel himself, so I don't know what point you mean. Anyway, I've already explained that in order to actually receive the bracha [from Shamayim], you must be a fitting vessel, and Kamala doesn't qualify on any level.
Update: He was murdered by terrorists Israel's intelligence agency Mossad launched an "active investigation" into the case o...
