Is it true that Techiyat Hameitim must start no later than the end of 5789? A religious friend of mine quoted me a major kabbalistic source that said it . And another major kabbalistic teaching that it would start before 5786 (this year). I don’t remember the names of the scholars but he said the deadline for 5790 was 100% reliable. Makes me feel uneasy that no one is talking about it except a rabbi named kessin?

Robert, nobody said Moshiach would come before Sukkot. Some rabbis [quite a few actually] thought Gog u Magog would begin during Sukkot.
Many people were hopeful that big things would occur then.
According to the Zohar, the entire period of time allotted for Techiyas HaMeisim is between 210-214 years in advance of 6000. These are not the opinions of obscure rabbis, but of Rebi Yehudah HaNasi, the author of the Mishnah, and Rebi Yitzchak, a central figure of the same time period. They are, therefore, mainstream opinions, with which no one argues, at least not in the Zohar. As hard as this may be to fathom, that Techiyas HaMeisim may be only 14-18 years away, there really is no reason not to believe it.

Obviously, when it says "14-18 years away" that was written 12 years ago in 5772.
But don't forget, we already have all the signs mentioned for the time before Moshiach.

Rabbi Breitowitz clearly holds that we are in on gog u’magog now, but that we can easily transition into gog u’magog.

To Anon at 10:27pm, I really don't appreciate all those who scare people about such matters, especially when they make no mention of the many righteous people in chutz l'aretz, who may be equal in number to the righteous people in E"Y. So why wouldn't those in chutz l'aretz be spared in their zechut?
Chazal tell us that techiyat hameisim will be a process with our holy ancestors, Avraham, Yitzchak &Yaakov, Dovid, Yosef, etc. will all be the first and so on.
The holy ancestors in EY on Har Hazeitim also.
We cannot be sure how H' is working all this out,
but hopefully, Pesach is the time for Moshiach.
In the meantime, sadly, 'wars'.
