An Act of War


I saw Warren Buffett on the news the other day and I made a mental note to look for a clip of it, because he is the only one so far who has said it so concisely.

    Our country has been taken advantage of when it comes to international trade. Other countries put tariffs on our exports and we are suppose to go along with that. Trump wants an equal or balanced playing field. Buffett is trying to make a moral issue out of a business transaction and he is dead wrong!

      So it's ok to be immoral in business? I don't think so. Anyway I am not a business man, but one of the questions asked after we die is "were you honest in your business dealings".

      I don't have a dog in this fight because I live in Israel and don't consider myself an American anymore....so an objective evaluation of the situation....
      The US has had so many corrupt presidents and politicians that created unfair and imbalanced trade deals ( bc they were getting kickbacks from other countries) that have destroyed American jobs and placed the US economy in massive debt. Let's take Canada for an example: their farmers get to export butter and dairy products tariff free into the US while the US farmers have massive tariffs imposed on their goods when entering Canadian Market. How is that fair? Noone wants to buy American products bc they are heavily tariffed on entering most countries, but those same countries get to send their products to the US market virtually tariff free? Worse several of the major countries like China and India flood the US market with their cheaper products.....so that even the American consumer has stopped buying American products in favor of the cheaper competiton. They produce these products with workers that are paid slave wages, while the US workers are paid fair wages. SO then US companies like apple ect. export the production and jobs to those other countries like China and the US woker loses out in that way as well as they watch their jobs leave to other countries.. Sounds like a massive trade imbalance to me and frankly while I dont trust Trump as pertains to Israel, in terms of American policy he is only seeking a restitution of wrongs..
      Those are my thoughts on that subject don't care either way.

      Warren Buffet is just another globalist shill who has profited off a corrupt system as far as I'm concerned. They are all mad to see their little gravy train disrupted.

      CSF I don't really care either, I just thought Warren Buffett made a good point about every country doing what they do best. America can't do everything best. Different nations have unique talents in certain areas.

      The problem for me is the massive tariffs he's put on tiny little countries that may end up bankrupting them. Getting rich again by bankrupting other countries is not cool.

      It's not about getting rich....the US has a massive deficit in the trillions, a significant amount of towns and cities and whole areas are completely destroyed because all trade and industry has been outsourced to cheaper markets and the residents are all on the dole, receiving government assistance to survive. The depressed residents are all on fetanyl and other drugs to escape the misery and hopelessness of their lives. In short the country is failing, falling apart and on the verge of bankruptcy and civil war. During the Covid scheme, so many small businesses went bankrupt and closed while a handful of the 1 percent became extraordinarily wealthy. People in the US are angry and bitter because they've been sold out by corrupt politicians for a very long time. That's how you wind up with a Donald Trump. He genuinely wants to restore the country to what it was, a hardworking , healthy happy industrious society.
      As a Jew I know that Edom has to fall for Yaakov to rise...but as a human being I realize the unfairness of what has been done to the average decent hardworking American by a corrupt corporate and political class. This isn't about getting wealthy off other countries misery...its a restitution of fairness and basic decency towards the American working class. This is how Trump genuinely sees it. He wants everyone to prosper, but his responsibility is to the US citizen first. There is small elite class like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates that are outlandishly wealthy while most of the rest of the country is flat out broke and can't afford to pay for gas or groceries. Very similar to what goes on here in Israel its horrendous. Buffet and his cronies are mad because they love the idea of being feudal overlords that have control and have centralized everything...and Trump is ending their reign.
