This is one of the very few orthodox ravs who does not throw hate at an un-orthodox Jew like myself. He also is like the only one who does not say that the goel is not here yet. He just says that he knows it is not himself but he does not know about anyone else. That is rare. Most of these charedi ravs deny the goel could be here. Then there is the few who think they are the redeemer.

Rav Breitowitz - you mention about private mourning starting out very intense. The thing is, some people in private mourning really don't feel anything at all, because either they were estranged from the relative, or else the relative may have been abusive. So when people go to be "menachem" them, and they're compelled to put on an act, how is that of help to the faux-mourner?

DeleteThe faux-mourner doesn't need to put on an act. The people who are coming are there to support you, not to judge you.
I had to sit shiva with my family and everyone was upset about the person who had passed, but because the whole family was together and we hadn't seen each other for a long time, there were times that we were laughing a lot, which is not typical "mourning" behaviour.
I know people who have sat shiva alone, and asked for no visitors at all.
History concurs, as well as Rabbi Avigdor Miller Zt”l, that it was not th3 children of Yaakov, but rather those who left with the Israelites that have been our nemesis all these long long GOLUS years. I have a post with info from Myrtlerisind and Rabbi Miller on this topic. Neshama

well as far as these few rabbonim that are really wise they still fit a category with the many others that do not understand the details of what a goel would need to have the "stone" and manifest the true eternal temple. that key is hidden in the cipher code of the Sefer Yetzirah. each letter has a day for the 7 doubles, a month for the 12 simples and a season for the mother letters.
