Saddened to see one of my favorite rabbis repeatedly and graphically, complete with sound effects, and with glee, describe difficult defecations.

Don't watch before, during, or after a meal!

The Youtube title isn't really descriptive of the shiur either.

I haven’t watched this yet so cannot respond appropriately

It is a very good shiur and I did not find it to be so terribly stomach churning. It's not going to be a cake walk. But we can sweeten the din a little by doing teshuva now and listening to words of emet.

I don’t think this is an entertaining subject; and should not be given with levity.

No criticism to you Devorah. You are very well-meaning.

We are in the last days. Now it is okay to be forgiving. ;)
Important now is personal growth and love for other humans.
The shiur was great as always. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, please, Devorah! Do not stop with that kind of shiur, I love that to listen to, while having very good meals!!!
Really, I expect that Mashiach take on before this 6000th year be over, in the next 1st Nissan (that date considers the 222 years gap, plus the six month gap between Tishri and Nissan, for correcting the Jewish calendar, and no one is going to convince me that I am wrong), such like Rabbi Kanievsky prophesied recently. Imagine Mr Bibi Netanyahu as a strong warrior again, with short beard, long hair and full of power, like in the beginnng, again (oh my ... sighing ), kicking open the Golden Gate, simply putting it down (laughing), for starting Mashiach's tribal dancing on the streets of Jerusalem, followed by the hosts of the Lord (oh my ... I hope not to miss that if I be still alive ... laughing ...)!!! See? What for, elections (laughing)? So, Devorah, just keep on your own way, we are winning! Remember people like me, clapping hands every time you post something like that, about that end of times we are living in. Love you ...

The shiur was not a "very good shiur" nor was it "great as always."

In stark contrast, it was a significant departure for Rabbi Anava, again one of my all-time favorites. It borders on the scatological.

Rabbi Anava DOES have great shiurs (almost all) as do Rabbi Kessin and Rabbi Winston.

Valid criticism met by unsupported, commentless, reflexive "greats!" is meaningless. Might as well just set up an autoresponder every time they post a new video: "Great!!!!"

As we approach REAL judgement in dwindling time, the cry of the Nations: "It's all good!" is a failed strategy.

Rabbi Anava could have communicated his point in a very different way, one not requiring a four pack of toilet paper.

A lot of complainers here, Hashem does not like complainers. I also think you are exaggerating this issue. Just appreciate that these videos are free for all to watch and if you don't like something, move on to the next one. There is really no need to be so brutal to someone who is trying to do his best to bring the world to the times of Moshiach. Perhaps you all now owe him an apology? Perhaps I should not have printed these comments? I don't know, but I do try to be impartial and let people have their say.

I find it odd that there would be comments against Rabbi Anava. It is clear in the Midrash of the rats eating at Pharoah's parts- his organs(intestines etc) sticking out. We know that what is relevant is printed. It details this and the conversation between Moshe and Pharoah. Ok. Not a problem there.
Ok, he added sound effects. I really don't see a major problem with this. Ignore this particular shiur and move on with another if one becomes offended.....
( I won't dare tell you the sounds effects I used when studying Navi in our group...you know...the part where the Navi mentions the sword going into a particularly fat man's abdomen and the sword swallowing his fat(yes, it's mentioned)...and what exits.....yeahhhh,mentioned there, too- in detail. I'll leave the auditory effects out and let Devorah decide if she will print my comment here.
