Rosh Yeshivah Ponevezh HaGaon HaRav Berel Povarsky published a letter of chizuk to bnei yeshivos via the Va’ad Hayeshivos on Wednesday evening.
“To the beloved and dear bnei yeshivos,” the letter begins. “Words are superfluous regarding your preciousness and virtues. All the koach of Klal Yisrael and its successes are only through the koach haTorah.”
“But unfortunately, the wicked government behaves with complete disregard for this, and out of unrestrained hatred, the hatred of the ignorant and wicked towards Talmidei Chachamim and Bnei Torah, they declare lomdei Torah as criminals and evaders, rachmana litzlan—when the opposite is true, and those who have no part in the Torah are the evaders and destroyers of our existence.”
The Rosh Yeshivah also called on bnei yeshivos not to be drawn into debates with the public over the draft issue. “It is not our job to negotiate with them and discuss their vanities,” he wrote. “We only need to remember the second bracha in the Shema of Maariv, that the love of Hakadosh Baruch Hu for Yisrael stems from the koach of Ahavas Torah and engaging in it day and night, and to believe in this with complete faith—that His love will never depart from us.”
“And no one will have the power to cause us pain or harm us, chas v’chalilah, because we’re the loved ones of the One who loves us with a great and everlasting love,” the Rosh Yeshivah concluded.

I agree. There is no point in debating. I also disagree with these secular, leftist tactics of blocking streets and highways, which interferes with people's right of passage. They create more hate and anger. I don't understand why the rebbes are not instructing the bochorim to sit in yeshiva, recite Tehillim, and cry out to HKBH for help. This tactic of rioting and going to the Christians for help is the exact opposite of what our Torah teaches and not what Hashem wants. I don't understand how we've gotten everything so backwards.

ReplyDeleteUh...on Moshiach sites, there is talk about everything (Iran, draft laws, evil medina, Trump, trafficking, hostage situation, and more).
ReplyDeleteYet there's zero discussion or caring about the plight of the elderly and disabled who are literally hostages inside nursing homes. Nobody cares about the abuse and neglect they endure. The Germans experimented first on their geriatrics and disabled. Did you know that the disabled were the guinea pig "models" toward the Nazi's future experiment with concentration camps?
There seem to be plenty of shiurim such as "should you put parents in nursing homes" - but i can't find ANY shiurim that scream:
"Send Moshiach to stop the neglect, exploitation and abuse of ALL disabled living creatures, who are at the mercy of uncaring others!"
That's why this is an olam hasheker. Because if this would be a world dedicated to truth, then publicity would be apportioned correlated to the ratio of suffering that's being endured in this world. Accordingly, more than 50-percent of shiurim would be dedicated to that reason for Moshiach to come.
My challenge to anyone reading this:
Can you point me to even ONE shiur on the below topic??

Agree with Gavriela Devorah, It's a sin to get help from the

those studying in yeshivot and rabbanim don't seem to grasp
such a basic mesorah. I understand their frustration, but they
just have to realize that the medina is controlled by the Erev
Rav in alliance with the umot!

To July 26 6:09am and any other Moshiach bloggers, do you have an iota of pity for the plight of geriatrics in nursing homes? For them it's a continual Tisha B'Av. I grow weary of the pie-in-the-sky versus the facts-on-the-ground which are continually ignored by Haredi society! Do you even realize that the U.S. Unhealthcare system, especially within most nursing homes and hospitals may be ONE-STEP-REMOVED from the experimental guinea-pig hospitals of 1930s Germany? And that residents of "Uncare-centers" are treated more like inmates, than many prison-inmates?
ReplyDeleteEven prison-inmates get to go out for fresh-air, yet I've witnessed how a Haredi woman with advanced Parkinsons begged to go outside in lovely-weather, yet was denied, and instead confined to the stuffy dining-room with bloody violence on TV, and with non-working AC, causing her to sweat to the Nth degree for hours on end (they don't open the windows).
I've also witnessed a very weak Haredi man with an ulcer and nausea, begging to be wheeled from that same dining-room to the restroom (it was urgent), yet being harshly denied, ignored, and shoved to and fro instead. Naturally, when I tried to help both the latter & former residents, it all turned political, because when dealing with socialists, every little thing turns into friction.
And so many more abuses of all forms, you name it, take place in these Unhealthcare facilities. The disabled would be much better off if someone like Musk would release robotic aides and nurses to care for the disabled, under the supervision of strictly-vetted operators who were screened via a panel of graphologists, to be trustworthy empaths. Better yet, would be the release of genuine MedBeds, rather than deep-state-coOpted ones.
But above all, the root cause of ALL this suffering, was the long-ago requests by Avrohom, Yitzchok & Yaakov to Hashem. But did they REALLY intend for such extreme suffering to happen?? If so, WHY??!!! That's the kind of shiur i want. A shiur which addresses everything i posted here, namely:

Frankly, I can't feel religious if issues pertaining to such extreme suffering are not satisfactorily addressed and rectified by the religious movers & shakers of Orthodoxy.

May I ask how often you visit (and assist) the disabled/elderly in nursing homes or hospitals? Or have you ever? ReplyDeleteThere are stories and lots of them, if one cares to check out, how many, many non-Jews helped Jews when wicked people went after them. Remember that, man in Germany who was the cause of World War 2. He went after all whom he thought were not human. Jews and many Gentiles too.
Good humans help all other humans, and should help all in times of trouble, if one can, for whatever they suffer from.
God made all humans.

Yes .G-D created everything from the Torah but within this creation of everything G-D created needed the Torah and needed a people to Spread the word of the Torah and be his holy Nation to follow the Torah and that’s the children Israel and G-D needed a piece of land so this Holy Nation can dwell with the Torah and that is the Land of Israel .

Stella, this has nothing to do with "help" in the way you describe. The issue of the draft is an internal matter. There is no role for any outside leader in this matter. However, beyond this, if you are learning, then you have read the rebuke handed down by HKBH when we have turned to other nations for salvation, rather than to him. Asking Huckabee to intervene in an internal matter being handled by a sovereign nation, which we are, is not only a rejection of Hashem's providence but also invites non-Jews to meddle in our affairs and begin to treat us as a vassal state. This happened once before, with the Romans, and look what happened. We're not talking about asking for help feeding the poor, or sheltering those who need shelter, or providing financial assistance for yeshivot, etc., we're talking about a political matter that has no role for Huckabee or any other American leader, nor for any non-Jewish voice.

DeleteThis idea that the God-given mission of Jews is to spread/share/teach Torah etc. to the rest of the world is completely wrong and from that error spring many other fallacies This is a Chr*stian idea and not at all Jewish. The Jewish nation has a job which it is uniquely equipped to do and that is because they accepted the offer when all others rejected it. Learning Torah enables the Jews to perform their mitzvot through which tumah is turned to kedushah and the world gets repaired. Jews are servants of Hashem not the world. If they fulfill the mitzvot of the Torah as instructed, they will build a perfect and just society that will be the envy of the observing world, who will then want to emulate their example. That's how they are a light to the nations. Torah is not for the world, although the world greatly benefits. It is a blueprint that only Israel can follow.

We as Jews are keen on self-reliance, we are a nation that "dwells alone."
This signifies our distinctness.
But, we are not 100% isolated from the world.
Throughout history there have been non-Jews who have been friends and allies.
Whilst we should not rely on them, or any human, in the way we rely on Hashem, they have helped us and can help us.
Going all the way back to Mamrei who advised Avraham, and Hiram who supplied Cedar wood for Shlomo Ha Melech's Beit Knesset.
And of course the Druze, another IDF Druze soldier died today in Gaza.
The help from the USA is not for us it’s for them to spread Christianity in Israel .

This is an internal matter, and it must be solved internally through tefilah and rachamim only by us. Once you open the door to outside meddling, which we've already done often enough, there's no way to close the door. Even Huckabee's remarks about the kangaroo court trial of Bibi, while appreciated, is out of place. It's an internal matter.
