Pharoah Quotes Psalm 46

Obama's 9/11 speech [video] - stick around the for end, Dubya's face is a treat.

Psalm 46
1 For the Leader; [a Psalm] of the sons of Korah; upon Alamoth. A Song.
2 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
3 Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, and though the mountains be moved into the heart of the seas;
4 Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof. Selah
5 There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, the holiest dwelling-place of the Most High.
6 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, at the approach of morning.
7 Nations were in tumult, kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
8 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our high tower. Selah
9 Come, behold the works of the Lord, who hath made desolations in the earth.
10 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth;
He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariots in the fire.
11 'Let be, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'
12 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our high tower. Selah

That's the worst reading of a psalm I've ever heard in my life! He looked like he had a mouthful of castor oil and his eyes were angry! Poor baby, it must be distasteful for a Muslim having to sing the praises - even in a contrived act of reverence -- for the G-d of Jacob ;-)

This Tehilah mentions the G-d of Jacob twice. When he read it twice, who did he think Jacob was? Jacob is Israel. Did that fact occur to him? Was he thinking when he read this Tehilah, or was he on autopilot?

Also what is the City of G-d, the holiest dwelling place of the Most High? Is it Al-quds the third holiest city in the world for Muslims? When they pray they put their tuchus in the air with the tuchus facing the Holy of Holies as they face Mecca. I really wonder what people like Obuzzard think when they read Tehillim. Fascinating that someone chose this Tehila for him to read for this occasion. It would even be more fascinating that if in about nine or ten days he was getting ready to divide the City of G-d in two. But because he needs Jewish money for his candidacy, that is not happening this year. Or might that change too?

I didn't nor want to hear this creep. To me the significant point is Hashem used this puppet, who has no free choice, to mouth words that relate to the pre-Messianic war of Gog wherein the warriors will abandon their armaments and the world will no longer experience war. He who mouthed these words knew not what he mouthed.

He looks completely detached, and really uncomfortable. He could be reading a recipe or or an engine manual. He's like a kid forced to do an assignment! Maybe it was beyond anyone's rational choice this specific psalm was chosen. Maybe it was chosen for him, if you know what I mean ;-) What better platform than right out of his own mouth - for hundreds of thousands (millions) of people attending and watching from all over the world?

"Let be, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'"

"stick around the for end, Dubya's face is a treat" what does that mean?
Now I understand why Hillary had to lose the election against all odds. Amazing.

That means more plagues to come...
15 days of darkness etc.

It's Australian for watch til the end, just for George W.'s expression.

Maybe he was inadvertently prophesying America's end as well. Psalm 46 could easily be describing the falling of the Canary Islands mountain into the sea bringing a massive tidal wave to America's East Coast. And that particular area has been experiencing swarms of earthquake tremors of late.

actually i too did not want to see him, but it was king david's psalm, and Hashem's miracle of it coming from someone who is so antisemitic. he is thinking of the votes. i am not sure if i am right. i do stand corrected if i am wrong. where i live, i have seen american films of slavery days and all. michelle's hair do, was different and as i saw it in the films of the slaves hair do. blessings.

Dissasociative, disconnected;aloof, lacking in feelings for others etc....we could go on, right?

Obama pronounced bow as in the bow of a ship, not bow as in "bow and arrow."

He looks like he was just going through the motions.

Bush, on the other hand, showed distraught on his face. Not the distraught of listening to Obama mangle a Psalm, but a sadness and deep understanding of the tragedy that hit America that day.

Didn't you post something a while back (before you shut down your blog and started anew) that said something along the lines of the Erlauer Rebbe, shlita, instructing his chassidim to say this perek of Tehillim every day after Shacharis and Mincha? (I believe it was around when the volcano exploded in Europe, causing airports to shut down.)

There was something about the Erlauer Rebbe, can't remember what it was. I'll ask someone who should know. Thanks for noticing.

With thanks to Rivka, who sent me the link to this comment at Yaak's blog:

Regarding the volcanic activity that halted air traffic over Europe & impacting the world let us all take heed of the Erlau Rebbe Shlitas calling on followers to recite chapter 46 of Tehillim daily, after shachris and mincha, to arouse Heavenly mercy.
