Amnon Yitzchak: Prepare for War

''Prepare the refrigerators, the war is at the doorway''

“The People of Israel are called to prepare the refrigerators and to buy a stock of canned goods and dried food products. We are located at the entrance on the way to a mess. I know things that you don’t know and it’s forbidden to me to reveal. I can only hint that you need to prepare the refrigerators. Iran is at the doorway!” so said Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak shlita this evening.

He's been wrong before. But something tells me he's right now.

In my gut I have the same sense of urgency but I don't understand why it would be forbidden to tell us if it can save us?

Can I say something about this new comment space - It is a pain. I think I repeated my comment but I couldn't tell the first time if it took because usually the comment is highlighted. And that thing that proves I'm not a robot...oy vey...is this really necessary?

That robot-proof thing is necessary because we get spammed all the time, and that seems to prevent it.

I deleted the doubled-up comment.

First......prepare the Neshama and ......then stock up for the body.

The Purim mask might be a gas mask, chas v'shalom.

who do we have to say, a tzaddik or torah scholar was wrong if something he said did not happen at that time or ever? why cant we accept that his words geared the public to do teshuvah, and mitzvos and Hashem delayed or rescinded His edict. Times are unsettling. perhaps he does not wish to say the details, because, 1, he has no permission to do so, and 2, if he has, perhaps the news is so unsettling that it may cause people to grow faint and not seek strength via increased torah study. lets just look at it this way. everytime a tzaddik speaks, lets take it seriously and do teshuvah. if it does not happen, we do not loose anything and even if it happens we have our sincere teshuvah as our protective shield. both ways we win.

Halacha 2 rambam mishneh Torah

Our Sages taught: "There will be no difference between the current age and the Messianic era except the emancipation from our subjugation to the gentile kingdoms."

The simple interpretation of the prophets' words appear to imply that the war of Gog and Magog will take place at the beginning of the Messianic age. Before the war of Gog and Magog, a prophet will arise to inspire Israel to be upright and prepare their hearts, as Malachi 3:22 states: 'Behold, I am sending you Elijah.'

He will not come to declare the pure, impure, or to declare the impure, pure. He will not dispute the lineage of those presumed to be of proper pedigree, nor will he validate the pedigree of those whose lineage is presumed blemished. Rather, he will establish peace within the world as ibid. 3:24 continues: 'He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children."

There are some Sages who say that Elijah's coming will precede the coming of the Mashiach. All these and similar matters cannot be definitely known by man until they occur for these matters are undefined in the prophets' words and even the wise men have no established tradition regarding these matters except their own interpretation of the verses. Therefore, there is a controversy among them regarding these matters.

Regardless of the debate concerning these questions, neither the order of the occurrence of these events or their precise detail are among the fundamental principles of the faith. A person should not occupy himself with the Aggadot and homiletics concerning these and similar matters, nor should he consider them as essentials, for study of them will neither bring fear or love of God.

Similarly, one should not try to determine the appointed time for Mashiach's coming. Our Sages declared: 'May the spirits of those who attempt to determine the time of Mashiach's coming expire!' Rather, one should await and believe in the general conception of the matter as explained.

Yes, I agree with 10 Rainbow and Joe.
Also, it has been said (Rabbis Shachne Zohn for ex. The Chofetz Chaim's last remaining student- may he be well, had adream twice and what was in the dream he said over to a reporter and yes, it was confirmed etc. He would not reveal everything in the dream. He consulted others regarding this matter, too. Why? I don't know. Perhaps it would make the heart grow faint? Who knows?
We neeeeeed to prepare spiritually so much. No more junk to fill us up. Fill the head and the heart with spiritual matters that Hashem wants us to be occupied with....

coincidence? Much of Israel is stocking up on food ANYWAY because of the 3 day storm (with possible snow)that is supposed to start tonight. We are also filling our cars with gas because the price of oil is supposed to go up tonight. Coincidence?

Someone asked Rav Yitzchak if he should acquire a gas mask and he reportedly responded "A Purim mask?" And then he laughed. I didn't understand what he meant by that. Also, it's known in Israel that very often high-ranking military people and politicians will consult with the rabbis and sometimes they are privy to confidential information that is required for them to advise well. It could be this type of information he is referring to when he said he's not allowed to repeat it. It could give away secrets to the enemy.

10rainbow's words also resonated with me. They are exactly one of the explanations given for Yonah Hanavi's reluctance to prophesize to Nineveh (because then Nineveh's complete repentance would -- and did -- nullify the Heavenly decree against them, making Yonah Hanavi look like a false prophet).

Look here People - NOBODY has ACTUALLY said that a WAR WILL break out on PURIM or PESACH or in 5772! Such comments on this website and other Geula websites are MISLEADING and MADNESS.
All anyone says is that 'something' maybe a war MAY happen this year! Duh- this could happen any year! Silly.

And Mekubals base what they says on what's in the news? Gee- I do the same thing. So silly to publicise this.

"He said she said from someone who thinks they said they heard from someone's mother's cousin's brother from someone who...". Get Real.
