This is a very interesting, and complex shiur. It helps me to understand what possibly all this madness is about. I recommend it to anyone who feels they are on the brink of going insane from these recent current events in America. I would start at the 43 min mark if it seems to long, that's when the Rav begins explaining current events.
Profound insight. And once integrated into our understanding, gives a hopeful path forward even in the face of difficult times. Not platitudes. Not just 'have more emunah', but to see our way forward with understanding.
And for all those end of times prophecy junkies out there, R' Kessin's comments about Manhattan dovetail exactly with what the Zohar says. After 9/11, the prophecy in the Zohar was circulating around. It quotes a date, very close to 9/11, and the Vilna Gaon corrected it as the exact Hebrew date of Sept 11, 2001. It said something to the effect, on that day, two tall towers and a great hall will fall (the Pentagon), and the great city of Rome will lose its glory, and the star of Mashiach ben David will begin to rise. Since I live so close to Manhattan, I always wondered when this "great city of Rome" would fall. It's happening now under DeBlasio and Cuomo.
Just got to see the video. The current events part is very interesting and does fit what's happening now. But, as far as H' having rachamim on these reshaiim who supposedly are Jews, I believe they are not Jews, but literally the Erev Rav and should have no connection to the Jews. Their treachery to the Jews and, of course, to G-D is inexcusable. It is H's world so, of course, it is up to HIM, but their treachery deserves no reward according to human understanding. Those good people who lived in other generations and suffered so, they deserve to have the great portions of Olam Habah. The same goes when he mentions the Golden Calf sin and we all know that it was the Erev Rav who committed and caused the weak innocent Jews who participated or didn't have the will to fight them off. The main thing is this is leading to our Geulah Shleimah, but, there are good non-Jews who are really the majority and do not deserve this rishus because they are against the rishus going on in today's world. We know that everything is from H' and so it will be ALL GOOD in the end.
This article was first published in 2008. It seems appropriate to publish it again. I still believe that Obama is Gog . IDENTIFYING...

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I believe wholeheartedly that "the new administration"that President Trump spoke about in the his speech will be The United States Military.
Leah I sure hope you're right. Whatever happens tomorrow, there's going to be a lot of people very upset with the outcome.

Washington DC used to be called
Rome not New York .
Right on, Yaakov C. Think the area was called Rome, Maryland. Apparently, it's not the original place for the capital, but is of Esavian origin.
