Death threats, Jews taking out full page ads in all the major newspapers to protest his visit.... you can't make this stuff up. ...yet he's overlooking 2 factors:
(1) First of all, it's not a similar example. Not only is Venezuela dissimilar to Iran, but also AFAIK Trump never broadcast to the Venezuelans that they should rise up against Maduro.
(2) Secondly, since Trump chose to broadcast to the Iranians to battle the regime, the onus was on HIM to synchronize the timing of his broadcast, so that (as per his apologists) the months of prep necessary to topple the regime should be =way= before his message to the Iranian people.
