  2. I just read this short article (below) and thought of the Yalkut Simoni prophesy of the king of Arabia consulting the king of Edom regarding the Persian threat.
"Saudi Prince Lobbied Trump To Attack
Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, who is the country’s de facto leader, encouraged President Trump to attack Iran. Multiple sources told the Washington Post that he made several private calls over the past month urging a U.S. strike, even while publicly supporting a diplomatic solution."

  3. Reb Michoel shared the following from the Sefas Emes (Shemos, L’Purim 3) on his WhatsApp status:

נראה כי נס דפורים היה הכנה לבית שני כי הי צריך להיות כח ועוז לבני ישראל. וע”י הנס נגבה לבם ויכלו לחזור לבית המקדש. וכן אפשר שיהי’ לעתיד נס כזה קודם הגאולה כמ”ש חז”ל מעמיד עליהם מלך כהמן כו’ שנס זה הכנה לגאולה:

According to the Sefas Emes, the miracle of Purim prepared Israel for the Second Temple, giving them strength and courage. The miracle uplifted their hearts, enabling them to return to the Beis HaMikdash. Similarly, before the Final Redemption, there may be a comparable miracle, as Chazal say, “G-d will place over them a king like Haman…” This, too, prepares the way for the geulah.

This idea reminded me of what Rabbeinu Bachayei says on Shemos 2:23:
ואפשר לומר כי הפרשה הזאת היא רמז לגאולתנו זאת העתידה שהיא תלויה בתשובה ובתפלה כי כן בגאולת מצרים חזרו בתשובה והתפללו אל ה’ העונה בעת צרה, ונתקבלה תפלתם ובא להם הגואל מיד, ועל כן סמך לו ומשה לרמוז כי ביאת הגואל תלויה בתשובה ובתפלה.

Rabbeinu Bachayei explains that this Torah section hints to our future redemption, which depends on our repentance and prayers. In the Egyptian redemption, the Israelites repented and prayed to G-d, who answers in times of suffering; their prayer was accepted, and the redeemer came immediately. This is why Moshe was positioned to hint that the coming of the redeemer depends on repentance and prayer.

Notice how both passages emphasize the same idea — that future redemption is foreshadowed by past events. The Sefas Emes writes, וכן אפשר שיהי’ לעתיד נס כזה קודם הגאולה — similarly, it is possible that in the future there will be a miracle before the Final Redemption. Rabbeinu Bachayei states, ואפשר לומר כי הפרשה הזאת היא רמז לגאולתנו — it is possible to say that this Torah section hints to our future redemption.

Both show that past events act as prototypes for the Final Redemption, emphasizing that divine deliverance is paired with human readiness — courage, faith, and prayer are always part of the equation.

Every redemption — past or future — unfolds in a spiritual cycle: crisis → repentance → uplift → deliverance, blending internal change (faith, courage, humility) with external divine action. Before the Final Redemption, a “Purim-like trial” may rekindle faith, and genuine repentance and prayer will bring the redeemer, just as Moses acted after the Israelites’ cry.

We say this daily in our prayers: וּמֵבִיא גוֹאֵל לִבְנֵי בְנֵיהֶם לְמַֽעַן שְׁמוֹ בְּאַהֲבָה — and Who brings a redeemer to their children’s children, for the sake of His Name, with love.

Rav Shimon Schwab zt”l explains that this means us. Expressed in the present tense, the geulah is an ongoing process culminating in bi’as HaMashiach.

Am I definitely saying the Final Redemption will unfold with Mashiach Tzidkeinu being revealed this year, 5786? Nope — because the actions we take — courage, faith, repentance, and prayer — will shape the landscape of what unfolds.

In short, both Purim and Exodus teach the same rhythm: redemption is a cooperative process. Courage, historical faith, and spiritual humility all work together with divine timing. The miracles, the prayers, and our readiness form one unfolding path toward geulah — past, present, and future — all connected.

  4. If Khameini was an archenemy of the Jewish people (many compared him to Hitler, y’s), why did he not destroy the Jewish community in Iran? Before his assassination , he told Jewish leaders he had no complaint with Jews but with Zionists.
