Rabbi Chaim Vital (1542-1620) was unquestionably the leading disciple of the Holy Arizal, Rabbi Isaac Luria, and his foremost interpreter. The Ari himself wrote very little and what is commonly known as the "Ari's writings", were in fact transcribed by Rabbi Chaim.
"You already know that the exiles [from Egypt until the Mashiach] are four: Babylonia, Persia, Greece, and Rome [as represented by the four cups of wine on Pesach, the four beasts in Daniel 7, and many other places. The fourth, Rome stretched out from the 2nd Temple destruction and apparently ended with the Holocaust].
However, the Jewish people are destined further in the end of days to be in the exile of Yishmael, as mentioned in Pirkei D'Rebi Eliezer, and in the Midrashim of our Rabbis, and in the Zohar end of Parsha Lech Lecha. And there in [Zohar] Parsha Lech Lecha it says that being that Yishmael is the son of Avraham, and was circumcised, he is called "Pereh Adam" - "A wild donkey of a man" - [Bereishit 16:12], implying not a full man, because he was circumsized without Priah [an integral part of the Bris Mila]. But the other four exiles are compared to beasts as mentioned in the book of Daniel Chapter 7.
.....and he will cause suffering to Israel, great and terrible sufferings, such that none like these had ever been seen, and we will not know what to do. And we will have no other hope than to trust in His great Name to save us from his hand. And this is what is meant in verse 8, "Our help is in the name of the L-ORD, who made heaven and earth. Which means who made heaven and earth for the sake of the Torah and Yisrael who as in the verse "if not for my covenant day and night [study of Torah], I would not have appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth [Yirmiyahu 33:25]". Therefore He is forced to help us from their hands, and redeem us a full future redemption, in order that there will be a cause for the existence of heaven and earth.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the source for the claim that Rabbi Kaduri pointed to the year 5787 (תשפ״ז) for the Redemption? I haven't been able to find it... I *did* hear, however, that the month of Cheshvan would bring good things.
Does anyone have additional information about what Rabbi a Yitzchak Kaduri said? Thanks so much.

ReplyDeleteBasically....when 5750 came, it was mid-day on the cosmic clock and people expected Moshiach. But Rabbi Kaduri told Rabbi Uri Sofer that according to the Sages of Baghdad, it will be in the year 5787. People were disappointed at having to wait an extra 37 years.
The beginning of the Redemption could be long or short. It could be in Heshvan as Hashem promised that as Heshvan has no special days, it could be the month. So the Redemption can come....
The true spiritual leadership of Israel are the Torah scholars, not the Erev Rav in the government.
I listened to the entire uncut lecture- he’s talking about serious corruption in our Torah leadership. The Ruzhiner brought down that in our final generation, there would be competing gedolim - one group would lead us into great darkness and one was righteous, and the way to tell the difference was that the ones from the Erev Rav would speak badly of Torah Jews and find merits in the wicked to draw them close. Never mind the 5787 quote from Rav Keduri brought down from the chachamei Baghdad, it’s more critical to the geula that we must distance ourselves from the religious Erev Rav that he compares to Datan, Aviram and Korach. The Zionist army is attempting to destroy the Torah, while calling the scholars destroyers. There are Haredi leaders who are very corrupted, and he’s imploring them to repent by name.

Deletenot clear who is who. there are two worlds of torah ---haredi and dati leumi . each side thinks the other wrong. one side has earned the anger of all the other classes of jews , as they lock themselves in a teivah , disdaining their enemies , and complaining not enough is given to them . But maybe they are right. only the RBSO will be able to tell us that the derech the velt hates is actually the correct path ....
DeleteIt’s quite clear - anyone who promotes the draft of avrechei yeshiva is denigrating Torah learning, placing their trust in horses and chariots above the K”BH. As is anyone who does not love and pray for our soldiers who defend our land. One red herring to drive the point home - there are more secular “mental health” draft exemptions than the entire population of draft age yeshiva students. Not one of them has been arrested or lost their benefits. Not one.
