The last chapter of Daniel, chapter 12 contains probably the most mysterious verse in Torah. It calculates that the time of the end will be after a time, times and a half of time passes. Many people are aware of this verse, but forget that chapter 7 also has some intriguing and similar language. It occurs after describing the 4th beast representing our 4th and final exile, the exile of Yishmael, the Arab nation.
Verse 24 states that ten kings shall come out of this kingdom, but then another king will emerge and subdue three kings. He shall speak arrogantly against Hashem and the Jews and will believe that he can change the times. We will be given into his hands for, a time, times and a half of time.
"And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the seasons and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time." Daniel 7:25

The Presidency of Barack Obama began at noon EST on January 20, 2009 when he became the 44th President of the United States. Three and a half years [a time and times and half a time] brings us to July 20, 2012 - Rosh Chodesh Av 5772.

ReplyDeleteNot to dismiss your post, but if obama is the figure described in Daniel, then apart from osama what other leaders has he subdued? I guess if one adds mubarak, ben ali and gadaffi then that would make sense in a way.
However, some are of the view that obama via muslim brotherhood is actually competeing with gadaffi, amadinajad and formerly osama for leadership or "caliph" of the islamic world while at the same time already being the leader of the "western world" (ignoring for a second the fact that he, the left and the muslims all seek to destroy the west).

I certainly never said this. Aderaba, it seems that this is a be'itah date - not ahishena. And I never said it will get much worse if he doesn't come by then. Was this idea taken from another blog?

According to a shitah (method of calculation) of the Vilna Gaon, Mashiach ben David can no longer come Achishena, in a nice way without suffering, after Mincha Gedolah on Yom Shishi (12:30 pm on Friday). He therefore has to start coming b'itah (in its time with tribulation).

They will only arise after the complete economic collapse of Malkhut Edom, the Western World in the 3rd year of the Shmittah cycle 5771. This could happen when "the mercantile ships go forth from Kittim", flotilla from Greece starting as early as next week, parshat Balak, after Rosh Chodesh Tamuz. If the military from Greece with the support from the population overthrows Greek Parliament in a coup and rejects the recently passed austerity measures, both the Euro and then the dollar will collapse in relatively short order. Or it could happen in another way. Either way the New World Order already has a plan: ten economic superstates, each with their own "governor" and currency. These economic superstates will be Free Trade Associations. So the Euro will be resurrected. NAFTA will have the amero and so forth. Only in Eretz Yisrael will a different leader arise or he is already there who will not fit the mold. That would be Mashiach ben Yosef. It will be only because of Mashiach ben Yosef that the world economy will begin to improve in the 4th year of the Shmittah cycle 5772. If Dan 8.14 is to be read as until the eve of a [particular] morning, 2003 from a sign (meot), when the holy [nation] will be acquitted/vindicated... 2003 days from Pesach 5767 is 10 Tishri 5773.
Then perhaps

This is all very interesting. The presidency of Obama is clearly a significant sign. And don't forget, a very mysterious event occurred just 47 days after Obama's birth on the night of Sep. 19-20, 1961 (Obama was 47 when elected) and it happened with a married coupe that is racially identical to Obama's parents. The 12th cycle of the Daf Yomi ends on 14 of Av 5772, and the first day of the 13th cycle is Tu Be'Av.
For anyone who experienced the last siyyim, people felt that Mashiach was going to come in the Zechut of that great Kiddush Hashem.
The siyyum of the 12th cycle would actually take place on the night of Tu Be'Av 5772.
