The Power of the Month: Tevet and Kislev

Every month on the Jewish calender has it's own energy and power. The month in which you are born can tell you a lot about yourself.  Rabbi Anava explains the power of the month of Tevet [anger management], and below the month of Kislev.  Also see Jewish Astrology.

What does he mean when he says the Shechinah is absent during the months of Tammuz and Tevet? Does that have implications for prayers?

As there are auspicious times for prayer, then I guess there are times when prayers are not so easily accepted. so perhaps that is the case - but I'm not really sure.

It's hard to explain. I had some kind of spiritual experience during the days leading up to last year's fast of Tammuz. I was wondering why that would have been the case.

The shiur about the power of the month of Kislev is one of the most interesting I've listened from Rav Anava. It links in a fundamental way the geulah, light, and Mashiach.

According to the ARI, Tammuz is the month of vision. It is very plausible that someone would have spiritual visions during that month. I do not know what effect each month has on prayer but there are reasons why we add prayers during the fasts of Tammuz and Tevet.

Look at the tremendous amount of evil unleashed against Trump. Hashem is given America a last chance to be saved.
Only 8 days are left. Almost the entire country is darkness. That is along with the Erev Rav.
