Did rabbi Kessin said that Mashaich ben Yosef might come soon? Leah
I note that not one person in the audience asked R'Kessin about Trump's betrayal of the Kurds. Blind spot? Yes - that's a major blind spot! To one person's credit, the topic of Pollard was brought up, to which R'Kessin opined that may well be the reason Trump is so harrassed.
...well, i'll take the liberty of adding the Kurdish betrayal as a reason for Trump's harrassment. That betrayal probably created lots of kitrug's.
...also, i personally feel a priority way for Trump to MAGA would be to focus on removing all the criminal red-tape from stem-cell therapy in Western Medicine, especially by removing the ban on cord-blood (the most effective version), increasing Lipogem-therapy clinics, and not barring Hemalucent tech, and other promising therapies.
...also, it's always a turn-off for me when shiurim emphasize that Moshiach isn't about turning the world into some sort of utopia. After all, wasn't that the state of Gan Eden prior to Adam & Chava's sin?
And so, speaking from my perspective of being inside a 5+ decade chronically-ill anatomy (which sum total of torture is way worse than coronavirus), can anyone give me a good reason not to wish for the type of world which Foster Gamble and Nassim Harramein are striving for? I.E. a world where hemalucent technology, free-energy, and so much more are available?
Why should Judaism be so ultra conservative as to side with the Eruv Rav medical system in considering genuine therapies "ossur" - especially given that the negligent medical system has everything tweaked to work against patients? Is it Judaism's world view that it's a mitzva to suffer? BTW, I never could understand the philosophy of someone's suffering atoning for the klal, especially when suffering can cause a person to sin.

I have not had a chance to listen to Rabbi Kessin yet, I blogged this very late last night.
MM I'm sorry for your suffering, and everyone else's, and this world is becoming too much for all of us. Things must change soon.

MM: First, we must all understand that there are quite a number of versions on how and when Moshiach will come. That's a mystery that only H' knows. But, Rabbi Kessin's seems to be the preferable, as his explanation is one of chesed. Just as there are different interpretations; there are many different interpretations why people suffer and some more than others. We pray that there should be no more suffering for any Jew and same for the righteous of the world. Of course, the coming of Moshiach will bring us a world of 'pure unadulterated bliss' with no more suffering, poverty & no more death! The world will be perfectionn because H' is perfect and His kindness and mercy is infinite and this is what HE wanted from the beginning when HE put Adam & Chava in Gan Eden and so it will be again, this time for eternity! May it be immediately!
Would like to add in answer to the lady questioner at the end of the shiur about the Erev Rav. She was correct that the two sorcerers of Pharoah, who were the two court magicians and sons of Bilam Harasha, and who left Egypt together with the Jews, plus about 2 million Egyptians (others too) at the Exodus. The Erev Rav might be considered Jews in probably every way, but their 'souls' are not Jewish. They are the descendants and/or reincarnations of this mixed multitude that dragged along with the Jews. It has been written up that most of our suffering has been due to them. They usually hold positions of power in governments and are usually wealthy. Their goal from the start was the delaying or stopping the coming of Moshiach tz'dkeinu. The black magic of Egypt was infamous.

Also, i gather that several shofar blows are supposed to cause bones of the deceased to travel thru tunnels, then the next shofar blows are supposed to patch all the bones together steadily, until finally the clothing appear. So what happens to those who died by fire?
And is all the painstaking vetting of genuine technologies (by Gamble & Harramein) all for nothing, if shofar blows can accomplish so much?

Attn. Leah - Rabbi Kessin mentioned that Mashiach ben David is supposed to come by 2030.
Interesting about Rav Ovadiah Yosef being MBY. It makes lots of sense, and i don't mean just because of his father being literally "Yosef". Though somehow I had thought Jonathan Pollard is MBY (in a quiet way) because he's been raked through the coals, not to mention R'Glazerson's codes.

Rav Ginzburg said that Moshiach has to come by 2022, and that he was born in 1948. This is a calculation based on the life of David Hamelech, that everything in the life of Moshiach will be double that of David Hamelech, his birth date, his rise to kingship etc.
Elsewhere, I heard a shiur, forget whose, and the rav brought from the Zohar hakadosh, that there will be a secular state for seventy years, and then a two year period of disintegration, which Be"D we are in now, which logically will end this Independence Day. So Be"D very very close. This also fits in with Netanyahu being the last PM.
Elsewhere, you can listen to Rav Zizolholtz (in Hebrew) on Arutz 2000 on youtube, who says that Moshiach is here, he himself has already met him. Rav Ovadia Yosef appeared four times in a dream to a young boy to announce it, around Chanukah time this year.
Be"D Moshiach is here. That doesn't contradict Rav Kessin, but it is important for us to feel the urgency, because it is really now. All these dates far into the future make it seem much less urgent.
Thank you Anonymous @ 9.19, I agree with you. So do others I have spoken to. We are not waiting until 2030, the world can't continue as it is until then, as far as I'm concerned anyway.
I think Rabbi Kessin meant that Moshiach Ben Dovid would be here by 2030. Moshiach Ben Yosef would come earlier than that
We all have to remember, there are always many interpretations and different opinions by chazal and they are all correct. We really have no idea who MBY is and when exactly he will come. MBY doesn't even have to be a person but could be the army of Israel being victorious and ridding us of our enemies; we don't know. What we do know is that Moshiach is on his way and only H' knows who and when. Maybe MBD will come directly after some miracles from Above taking care of many bad guys. MM, the messianic era will be like Gan Eden, pure bliss!
