The windows are closing and that means the Divine Presence is just about removed from this world. It cannot be removed 100% or the world would stop existing. this is why the world is full of evil now.

[below is extracted from a previous transcription]
the concept of “Windows” which Rav Moshe Chaim Luzzato, the RaMCHaL, writes about in his “Ma’amar Ha’geula” and the concept is this: At the End of Time, the shefa—Divine flow, Divine influence, holy energy “comes down” through a “Gate.” But with the destruction of the Temple, that Gate closed. The problem is that, if the Gate closes, the world is annihilated. So, what did G-D do? He opened up “Windows,” smaller openings so that, before He shuts the Gate, the Windows open to allow the Divine energy, that shefa, to come through those Windows. The world, therefore, gets kiyum—existence. But the problem is that, as the Jews sin, the Windows—painted black—begin to close. Less and less Divine influence gets through. As we get closer and closer to the messianic era, the Windows are closing. The effect of this closure is that evil dominates. That’s the encroaching Darkness.

Finally, right before the very End when the Mashiach comes, right before the Window meets the threshold when there is only a slit, a nanometer, of Light, right before the Windows close and the entire Creation would disappear, G-D opens up the Gate and a torrent of Divine energy comes through and that’s the messianic Light. Then the Windows shut. When that Gate opens, there will be an effulgence, a magnitude of kedusha—holiness flowing into the world that we cannot imagine. Meanwhile, we have Darkness and what’s called “tigbores ha’ra”—proliferation of evil.

The video was taken off to be replaced by a corrected version. Should be back up within the next 8 hours, I've been assured.

They removed the shiur as the file was accidentally duplicate from a previous shiur, here is the new link: https://youtu.be/tTKPqeuDdYo

MM: I have no way of contacting you apart from here. Just wanted to let you know that your message to Rabbi Kessin was delivered to him by his assistant and he is very appreciative of the time you took to give him that information.

Hi Devorah, what an excellent shiur! If you have the possibility to contact Rav Kessin directly I have a question. Why nobody including him comment on this passage: On page 97a of Sanhedrin the Baraita describes the 7 year cycle preceding the Mashiach’s arrival. Basically 3 years of global famine getting worse and worse when torah is forgotten until the 4th year, then 2 years of abundance and a restore of the knowledge of torah. On the 6th year sounds (of war?) 7th year wars and on the 8th year ben David comes.
From current events looks like we are entering this last seven year cycle. We are on the doorstep of a global food shortage crisis as we have never seen before on such a global scale.
Most signs listed on the same page seem fulfilled. One of the the last missing is: the Talmud say nobody will have a coin in their pocket. digital currency is likely become adopted soon to fulfil that sign too which is another major event will likely happen in the next few years.
Obviously I’m hopeful Moshiach comes before, but according to this Baraita the timeline is pretty clear. I would really like to hear why he never spoke about this timeline.
thank you

Enricoariel: Yes I will pass on your comment. Just a few corrections here: the exact words you are quoting can be found here https://halakhah.com/sanhedrin/sanhedrin_97.html
It also says "And I will cause it to rain upon one city and cause it not to rain upon another city"
To me that sounds exactly what we have now. Floods in Australia, drought in Italy and parts of Europe/America.
It also seems as though everything is happening at once in this year.

enricoariel, while we're at it, or at least on the topic of discussing with Rabbi Kessin his 20th century series:

...what about Trump's kafui tov to the Kurds - is that indicative of "teshuva" of the "Tov She-b'Edom"? And also while we're at it, if Iran is truly out to annihilate Jews, why didn't they start with the ones on their home turf? Isn't that pretty much proof that they mostly oppose the secular Jews who are in league with satan's deep-state?

EnricoAriel: Rabbi Kessin's assistant read him your comment [he does not use the internet] - he said he will review the sources and address it.

Devorah… I too have a few questions for the Rabbi… could I send them to you without your publishing them for his assistant to give to him?

Devorah said...

Yes sure.

thank you Devorah, looking forward for the rav comment.

yes it is exactly the page you linked.

I saw another interesting point in a Shvilei Pinchas (rav Pinchas Friedman), I translate in my words:

In Meghilat Ruth the story is that Elimelech left Israel to go to Midian because in Israel there was a famine. There is a discussion among the Hahamim if what he did was right or wrong. Most opinions are of the idea Elimlech made it wrong and in fact was severely punished. The Alshich and the Bach instead explain Elimelech made the right choice to go to Midian because he had a tradition that the kingdom of David and Moshiach will come from him and to fulfill this prophecy he had to find Ruth that was in Moav. When he saw that there was famine in the land he understood that now is the time to go.
Why the famine was the trigger to made him go? Because the Talmud Bearchot 3b it says that Hazal tell us that in time of famine it’s a time that the process of the Gheula is speeded up because the people need food.

my understanding, connecting with rav Kessin explanation about the satan is that this page of the talmud is not a prophecy, but Hazal understood what would the satan will try to do to stop the gheula. and obviously he is acting very predictably.

Hi Devorah, one note about your comment, the translation you quoted is correct, but a bit misleading. when the talmud writes rain it use the word 'matar' which is a light rain beneficial for the agriculture. so it is incorrect to interpret floods. instead Rashi explains that rain is indicative of abundance and lack of rain of famine. so the meaning is the first year of the cycle (hopefully next year) we will see in some countries lack of food and other countries will have food. then getting worse and worse until the 3rd year and on the 4th again abundance.

Thank you for the clarification Enricoariel, and the story from Megillat Ruth. Very interesting.
