As much as I love Rabbi Kessin’s enthusiasm for the Geulah, it’s discouraging to hear Rabbi Kessin predict Moshiach Not coming until 2029/2030, at the deadline for techiyas hameisim. Rabbi Kessin also says Moshiach can not come now because we need to be prepared or we would not be able to handle the holiness of MBD. Rabbi Kessin’s brother, on the other hand, has stated that he expects Moshiach ben Dovid to arrive in the next 5-11 months.
Chaim: either you stopped listening at that point, or you missed the most important part of what he actually said. Just after he said that, he said "but God has speeded it up" [or words to that effect]. In other words, he agrees with you, Geula is coming much sooner than 2029/2030. Everything is happening so fast now.
Listen again, or just trust me... he said it.
Everything depends on us. No one can say with certainty when Moshiach will be revealed. I don't set my clock but what is said in shiurim. I simply wait every day.
He specifically said, ". . So, let's hope that THIS YEAR we will see Moshiach. . ."
The first moshiach that comes is Moshiach ben Yosef, Rabbi Kessin mentions this is in previous shiurim

Yes, I agree with Chaim and I also agree about H' speeding up history. I think most everyone does feel that things are moving at lightening speed. I agree with the shiur that Rabbi Hool had given about Tisha B'Av 2023 when either it will be MBY first coming to clean up or it will already be MDB, the eternal king Moshiach. This Rabbi says, by his precise calculations (including the 168 years missing from our history) that the war of Gog u'Magog will be in 2027. Believe it is this shmitta cycle that will be the ushering in of Moshiach tzdkeinu.
The reset of 2030 is part of the plan of the amaleikim (globalists). That doesn't mean that it can't be 2030 because that will be the upcoming shmitta.
We don't know H's thoughts but I think HE is speeding it up because by such a late date, the world will have reached -50 tumah where it won't be saveable. We see this by the direction the world is now going in (think Mabul time).
It is very possible MBY already came OR will work together with MBD and arrive at the same time.
No one knows for sure about gog u’magog. Many hold it already happened. Some hold it’s a spiritual war happening now. The lubavicher rebbe said we had enough wars and that there won’t be a gog u’magog world war or war at all.
Western Europe is burning, while on the east coast of Australia it won't stop raining. Actually we had a nice sunny day today, but tomorrow the rain will be back.
Fires in Europe, floods in Australia, Sri Lanka is running out of food and has started begging Australia to send it to them.. the world is a mess.
Rising interest rates mean that rents are being increased and families cannot afford them. Homelessness is increasing rapidly.
Inflation is only just getting started.
Just look around at all the misery, the insanity of the weather, and all the suffering which has been increased at a rapid rate. Birthpangs of Moshiach and we've got at least a few months to go at the best estimate.
In response to Sara J's comment: I'd put the emphasis differently. What R' Kessin said is "let's HOPE that this year we will see Moshiach." I understood it as he was not predicting by when Moshiach will come, but that he feels it's possible that Moshiach will come soon. That's about as specific as we can really get, considering that none of us are Yaakov Avinu or Daniel. Now is a good time to daven.
I think we are in part three of the Gog U Magog war. The Chofetz Chaim said it would be in three parts; World War One, World War Two and another war seventy years after the end of World War Two. That would be the year 2015. If we look at that year, we see something stand out: "The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action" aka The Iran Nuclear Deal.
Israel did not sign this. But we see an escalation of the undeclared war between Israel and Iran...make no mistake it is a dangerous and daily war...fought in the shipping lanes of the gulf, the airspace over Syria, the deserts of Iraq, the sea ports of Lebanon, the nuclear facilities in Iran and in cyberspace.
What is not clear is who Gog is, at this point in history.
So far Putin does not fit the profile of Gog, he is not from the land of Magog.
Reb Dov bar Leib has identified this land as Russia East of the Ural Mountains, all the way across Asia to Alaska and the West Coast of Canada and mainland USA.
I've already heard where many think the shoa was the war of Gog u'Magog. That could very well be (there have been enough wars and we pray for no more).
That aside, there is the question of 'amaleik'. We know there is the commandment that they must and will be eradicated. We have those same amaleikim still continuing their dirty deeds but on a global level. H' has HIS Plans and how exactly He will accomplish them only HE knows.
A small correction - China stems from Cham, not Yefet.
@Devorah , why do you feel that we have at least another few months until Moshiach arrives?
Miriam I'm basing that remark on what Rabbi Kessin said, and I'm waiting for the transcript of the shiur which should be available in a few days so we can all check what he actually did say, as people have come away from that shiur with different ideas. He did mention another 7 years but he then said it's happening very fast now and it's speeded up, meaning the end of this 7 year period which is a few more months until 5783.
I don’t think we’re waiting another 7 years for Moshiach nor do I think Trump is “coming back to finish the job”. There are too many indications that the keitz is now and Am Yisrael can not wait any longer with all terrible world conditions inside and outside Israel.
I ask you one question, When have you ever seen so many leaders resign? They never leave office on their own. Hashem has had enough of these so called "leaders." Since they do not know Hashem, there must be another force at work. The MSM will not tell the truth about the why, but there is enough info. there to tell you something is going on behind the scenes.

BTW, seems to me the Iranians have mostly opposed the Chiloni Israeli regime which sides with the "bad side of Edom" which head honcho's are in the West. Otherwise, why has the Orthodox Jewish community in Iran lasted? That's something else wherein R'Kessin's opinions on Iran have confused me (aside from the Kurd abandonment by Trump. M.M.
