Trump just announced a deal with Iran. “Largely negotiated.” The IRGC intact. The Strait of Hormuz reopened. In the book of Samuel, God told King Saul to finish the job. Destroy Amalek completely. No exceptions. No negotiations. Saul won the battle, but spared the king, kept the spoils and called it a victory. Samuel didn’t see it that as a victory and neither did God. Saul lost his kingdom not because he lost the war. But because he stopped one move too short and called it peace. The IRGC is still standing. The head is still attached. And somewhere in Tehran, they’re celebrating a very good day. I pray I’m wrong. I’ve been wrong before. But when a king has the mandate, the moment, and the power and chooses the deal over the mission, history doesn’t grade on a curve. Praying for Israel. Trusting in God. Not in agreements. “Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.” (Psalm 146)
This is a very good comment- as Rabbi Kessin said in his shiur last night.. G-d has many messengers. Maybe one of us can get the message to the President 馃檹
I think this may have been hashed out previously, the first time this video was posted, but I'll rehash in my own words.
I found it confusing where, on the one hand, per R'Kessin: Hashem had to satisfy the Heavenly Sar of Iran/Persia who argued "Our country enabled the rebuilding of the Temple, so therefore justice demands that Iran be spared, even IF Iran murdered so many thousands of Iranian people".
So Hashem told the Sar: "you're right"... ...and that's why he caused Trump to decide to "deal" instead of going for the jugular (my words).
But here's what's confusing: R'Kessin continues by saying that Trump is guilty big time, and will have to give a reckoning to those souls who died, and who are continuing to be scapegoated by the Iranian regime.
I don't get it. If its the appeasement of the Heavenly-Sar of Persia that caused Hashem to change Trump's course of actions (like a chess piece on a chessboard), then why blame Trump?
Granted, I've blamed Trump, as did others, but if Trump's decisions are being powerfully co-opted by Hashem's "override", then why (according to justice) wouldn't Hashem also override any future reckoning? My brain is blowing a fuse.
But the IRGC is not Iran, so I don't understand any of it. The Persian empire "allowed" us to rebuild our Beit haMikdash. The IRGC is an occupying force of extremist jihadists devoted to their mission of destroying everything that is not Islam. Why would they merit any rachamim?
Problem is all these rabbis who know more than us don’t really know more than us about moshiach and all the details The why , what and how. They r guessing. I used to do that too I analyzed everything and everything had some meaning to it. It was a total waste of time. Now I understand Hashem is doing things His way and I just do my part and wait for moshiach every day. Malky.
I just read how a boy who wasn’t frum anymore said he would not listen to his own father about keeping SHABBOS. But if the president said to be shomer SHABBOS he would. So sometimes Hashem does open the curtain and let us see a tiny drop of the how and the why. Otherwise we r just groping in the dark for answers Keep an open mind and hopefully Hashem will let us see more ! Malky

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

DeleteI agree! Thanks for pointing that out, so now there's my aforesaid confusion as well as your confusion. It's all one big muddle.
