It is a FB video - not You Tube - maybe that is the problem for some readers - let me know - but right now it is only up on FB

Is this current?

I don’t know - I originally thought so as it was uploaded to FB and it says ‘live’ - which I take to mean that it is recently made - but honestly I don’t know.

It is an old video the Rabbi is still recovering...
Here is what Rabbi Alon Anava's wrote before Shabbat.

A SHABBAT MESSAGE FROM RABBI ALON ANAVA:

With greetings for a peaceful Shabbat, I want to thank you all again for all your prayers, love and dedication for my well being and health. It warms my heart to see how many people come together to help and I wish to see such love and unity without pain and sickness. More than that, if it warms MY heart and makes ME so happy, I can't imagine how happy it makes Hashem to see all this. So lets keep it up!!

Although my recovery is miraculous and thank G-od I feel better and better each day, unfortunately I'm still experiencing a lot of pain, discomfort and weakness. This week I found a creative solution to this situation.

We read this week in the Torah about Avraham's recovery from his circumcision. Avraham Avinu circumcised himself when he was 99 years old and I can't imagine his pain and discomfort. Hashem comes to visit Avraham on the third day of his recovery to make sure he's doing ok and healing but Avraham finds a better way to heal himself. How? not by feeling bad for himself and make himself a victim, rather he goes out of his tent (out of his selfishness) and goes to take care of the needs of others, of people he doesn't even know and in his mind even idolators.

Avraham is not thinking of himself and HIS discomfort and misfortune but rather of the needs of someone else and how can I make someone else be comfortable. WOW!

Now that is how you take care of your problems, pain or discomfort, by not thinking of yourself, rather by thinking of others and how can I be of an assistance to others and by that you allow Hashem to take care of your needs.

On a personal note, this week was my grandfathers Yartzeit. He died when he was very young, in his early forties. I never met him, as he died when my mother was 6 years old. My middle name Yehuda is named after him. Although I have never met him, I have learnt from many stories that he was a great man who loved the Torah and was always looking to help others. One thing that stands out is that he always cared about the safety and well being of others. As a young man during the holocaust, he would risk his life to rescue others out of Europe and saved many lives.

We don't take much with us from this world when we leave. We do not take our money or property but we do take our Torah, Mitzvot and the good deeds we did for others. We all suffer in this world in many different ways, whether it's sickness or pain, lost of loved ones or money, disappointments and misfortune and so many other ways that we experience pain and suffering. I find that when we do go through a hard time is when we need to go out of our 'tent' and look to help others, go out of our sorrow, out of our selfishness out of needing to be the center of attention. It is then that we need to GO OUT to seek how to help someone else, how can I make someone's life better, how can I affect someone to feel better, be happier and in a better place and by that I make room for Hashem to take care of ME.

Wishing you all an amazing Shabbat, an amazing coming week full of happiness and success and now all is left is for YOU to go out there and CHANGE THE WORLD!!!

Shabbat Shalom, Alon Anava

B”H he is an amazing person. Hashem allowed him to return to this world to spread more Torah and achdus.

Just to let you know, some YouTube videos may be old, but re-uploaded as new. I caught one of Rabbi Mizrachi’s uploaded as new, either by one of the sites that show his shiurim, or by U T, or by Divine Information. Hard to know. But one should check before taking something as current.

To Devorah, Jewgirl, and anyone else in the know, please post updates about Rav Anava on this site. I'm not on FB, whatsapp etc, so this is my only source. Thank you in advance. And wishing a refua shleima to Rav Anava and all the sick people.
