250 years.... is this a "time, times and a half of time" ? [100 years being a "time"]
The words inscribed on the wall were Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin (or Peres]. Daniel explained their Divine meaning:
Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.
Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting (deficient).
Parsin/Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.
