Pronouncing the Name of G-d

God said to Moses: "Ehyeh asher ehyeh'' (I will be what I will be) [Shemot 3:14]

Rashi explains that G-d's reply to Moshe's question [about His Name] was ''I will be with them in their present time of need, just as I will be with them at the time of future persecutions.''

Obviously, Rashi does not agree with those commentators who suggest that G-d told Moshe to tell the Jews His true Name [Rashbam, Rambam and Abarbanel].  Rather, according to Rashi, G-d was responding with words of encouragement to tell the Jewish people.  [In this respect, Rashi agrees with Ramban].

After the true and complete redemption through our righteous Moshiach '' all flesh will see together that the mouth of G-d [Havayeh] spoke.''  And then we will be permitted to pronounce the Tetragrammation exactly how it is written.

theres a tradition only one tzaddik in the dor knows the correct vowels for the shem haforash . rabbi yishmael asked Heaven if he could use it to save the 10 martyrs Heaven said no . I believe hezekiah killed sancherev and his hords with this name . jc ymach/shmo carved this name into his arm , beause the names structure was forgot when one left certain quarters of the beit hamikdash so by carving it into his arm he wouldnt forget it .

Hashem's name is very special. It has the power of creation and destruction. Its pronunciation is like a beam of light falling upon other lights to enhance them, or upon darkness to desipate disorder and evil. The present humanity, because of its sins, lost that knowledge, there is perhaps just one tzaddik to know and use the true name of Hashem.
