He's not accurate. The final stage of gog umagog will take place in Israel and will even be in yerushlayim. And there is no sources stating that it started in 2010 or 2012
The Vilna Gaon, brings down faced based on five different places in the Zohar that are all tied to each other. Before Moshiach comes we have to go through 72 years of unbelievable suffering for the Nation of Israel. This period is called "Chevlei Moshiach" - the labor of Moshiach. This is a period of time that compares to a woman's labor pains when giving birth. In Hebrew this is called "Chevlei Leida".
The Zohar states that there has to be 72 years of Chevlei Moshiach, very harsh suffering. After the 72 years there will be a period of five years called Moshiach ben Yosef. Then we will be ready for the birth of Moshiach ben David - "lei'das Moshiach."
What we would attribute as very harsh suffering that are nation has undergone? The Holocaust, which started in 1939. Therefore, if we add 72 years to 1939, we come to the year 2011. So the 72 years of suffering ended at the year 2011, according to this calculation...
Important note to remember: it does not mean that from this date there will be no more suffering. We obviously see that there is still a lot of suffering. This is because we are still in exile and in part of the Gog U'Magog war (Are You Ready by Rabbi Alon Anava, pages 42, 45 and 48 - http://www.atzmut.com/product/are-you-ready-book/).
If you add five years of Moshiach ben Yosef to 2011, it comes to 2016, which is this year!

With all due respect, perhaps it might be better to say that you have heard a different opinion regarding such and such. Maybe contacting Rabbi Anava might be helpful for clarification etc...

I would say 72 years begins from the state of Israel in 1948. So 2020 would be more accurate. I think Trump is a perfect president for working with moshiach. Thank God moshiach didnt have to deal with Obama
If D. Trump has to work with Mashiach Ben David, then he might be Mashiach Ben Yosef.
How many times have people made calculations only for the dates to pass and sometimes leaving a spiritual damage in it's wake. And hypothetically even if someone should know when the 72 years started, he still doesn't know when the actual Gog umagog started. And it's not an opinion that the final stage of gog umagog will take place in Israel. Tanach is chock full of places where it states that it will take place there, therefore it's a fact (tho if we do teshuvah he will come in peace).
I am convinced that Obama is gog tho (or the general of gog) and being that he's leaving office very soon...I'm expecting something extremely extraordinary to take place any day, and to be followed right after with the coming of moshiach!)

Didn't see the video yet. But found the above comments perplexing. Believe the one who wrote the 72 years from the shoah is correct. That has been the views and opinions of many rabbis for many years. The final portion of the War of Gog U'Magog will take place in Israel as the final goal of the nations is to take Yerushalayim from us. The war is taking place also today in Syria which is part of Eretz Yisrael. Another thing is that MBY cannot be a non-Jew; that is why it's Ben 'Yosef' who could be one of the 12 Tribes of Israel, or it need not be a singular person but the nation of Israel that has been fighting our enemies since '48.
Ben Hur: No. Moshiach ben Yosef is Jewish. But there are sparks of MBY and several people have/had those sparks, apparently. But we are not going to argue who MBY is or was.
This Rabbi should state that he is only expressing his opinion, and that there are many other (very different) opinions and sources about Gog Umagog.
